Their father is fire, their mother is air.

They are dragons. Beasts covered in scales of any colour, bat-like wings each twice as big as a man, long elegant necks holding their horned heads up high, four talons on each foot, each one sharper than human's finest dagger, and a long tail strong and often used like a whip.
Terrible, magnificent creatures of unimaginable lifetime and intelligence.

One day, their peaceful world is disrupted as darkness starts clinging to the peaks of Mount Edeanor (ED-e-uh-nor), slowly rippling down to the rest of the world. Many living beings are being influenced by these mysterious dark forces and are turning evil. Only the strong-hearted resist darkness's temptation. Only dragons can save us now, for only they can breath as high as those mountain peaks.

Dragons, Unicorns, Elves, Fairies, Elementals(humanoid creatures formed of an element: fire, wind, ice, light, etc.), Mermaids/Mermen, Seamonsters(similar to dragons, except more instinctive and violent).

It was pouring down with rain. Ka-Tentos stared outside the window. It was grey, all grey. He sighed. He turned back to the heavy book he was reading. It contained lots of complicated spells in it. He read aloud the one that was supposed to bring lightning to a storm.
'Helo mand shu
Tashi loni
Kama tursh lu
Deimo droni.'
Soon enough, a large crack was heard in the swirling grey. He turned to stare back outside the window. At least it wasn't quite as grey as before.

Kraven sighed as she walked in the rain. It was peacefully raining…downpouring on her head. Suddenly the sky lite with lightning. She stopped in front of a house. She looked up to the windows seeing a boy looking out. She shook her head walking away, her face red with heat. The peaceful ran was now a thunderstorm, and she herself was homeless… she sat beside the road, her head sagged now, her eyes drooping. Her attitude was getting worse…she could not understand what was happening.
Sorrow,
Grievance.

Was that the curse that doomed her.

Ka-Tentos saw a faint outline in the rain. He smiled wickedly. Another victim. He closed his eyes and started focusing his energy in a space between his hands, then released it, and it flew straight toward the figure. A swirling dark mass, known as the death blow.

A young white dragon zoomed across the sky, searching for her mother. She called out telepathically. It was much harder to find anything in this thick fog, reaching up from the clouds of the storm. She called out again, her keen eyes searching frantically on the foggy mountain-side. She soon got tired and decided to rest for a while.

Kraven panicked as a odd black swirl came at her and jumped out oof the way. What in the world? She felt a bile of panick rise in her throat. Who had just attacked her? What was going on? she froze and looked around silently.

Ka-Tentos swore under his breath. Furious, he walked out angrily and started casting another, but it failed him since he had used up all his magic on the last two spells. He unsheathed his sword and moved it menacingly.

Kraven felt the tip of her fingers tingle as she backed away from the boy who emmerged. "What are you doing?" She pulled out a small dagger readeying herself for a fight her heart racing.

The elf gave her a menacing smile. 'Isn't it obvious? I'm going to kill you.' He raised his sword high, feeling the rain on his face. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, as if in pain, as if there was a battle going on underneath his skin. Then he looked up, as if wondering where he was. 'Who are you?' he asked. But the mask of pain came over him again.

Miranda found a small cave to shelter herself in. She became drowsy, and soon fell asleep.

Kraven shuddered at the words kill you and curled her hands around her small blade. If his sword was made of iron...she had no chance. "Who are you" He suddenly asked her. she froze. (Ok)
"I am Kraven" She let out in a small hiss "He looked pained, she lowered her weapon, if he attacked so mote it be... She looked at him softly. "YOu...are an elf then"

When the elf's soul stopped trying to resist the darkness, he looked up. 'Another time,' he said, before vanishing out of that remote valley, back into his room at the castle.

Miranda opened her eyes. She crawled out of that small cave and looked about. She called for her mother again, but still no answer. So she took off again. After a few minutes of searching, she saw a big white body lying on the ground. Its scales reflected the morning sunlight. It didn't move, it was dead.

Kraven's eyes were large. The first person she met and he tries to kill her? She sighed heavily and laid against a wall, her back arched. "This could be dongerouse..."

The reason Ka-Tentos had let her live was because he saw grief in her eyes, and he would leave her to suffer. He was brought out of his thoughts because there was a knock on the door. 'Son,' said his father from behind the door, 'what are you doing in there all day?'
'I'm just studying the laws of the forest.'
'Alright then.'

Miranda flew down to the still body, afraid. Mother? asked the small dragon. She knew it was too late. She couldn't feel any consciousness emitting from the lifeless dragon. She sobbed. Mother... Why?
