I'm fifteen and this is the first avatar site I've ever been on I think. I would have thought you would get more or only teenagers on a site like this, but the fact that you don't I quite like. I like the fact that the people on Midorea are older and because of that mature. I find teenagers, especially on the Internet, act like idiots and most debates become a slagging match between them. I don't think I've seen that on Midorea, something I find appealing about it. The avatars on this site are beautiful by the way.

I am 22, I will be 23 in November despite that my character sheet somehow says I am 16. Does everyone's say that, is it supposed to say that?

Yes, everyone's character starts at 16, and then it goes up depending on how long your character has existed. Mine was 18, but I deleted her to recreate a new for the event...

Yes, it's probably something like that. My character was made at the beginning of the winter event and she was 18, meaning she had gotten 2 years in like 8 months or so...

I'm 20, I turn 21 next June.
I've been on forums (Gaia was my first as well back in 04) since i was 15. Actually, my exact join date was 06/17/2004. And I joined Gaia for one reason and one reason only. The girl next to me was a hot chick who I wanted to go out with and she joined Gaia that day, like 5 minutes before me XD

Now, I don't join any site unless I think the user base is mature. I used to be part of the Anime Network forums a LONG time ago when it didn't suck. We had a great time. Sure, we were mostly around 16-20, but we all were mature about it. Well....we DID have a thread that was full of, you'll never guess this one, 65 year old and up! One guy was 73 XD

When I joined up on Gaia, I was immature like the rest of us. And I only posted in the Chatterbox. But then I saw someone with an AMAZING avatar, so I followed their posts and was led to the Avatar Talk. The old AT was full of nothing but mature people. It sort of transformed me from an immature brat to a nice, mature being.

I have had several computer problems in the past. Each time I got them repaired, I went BACK to the AT. Even now, I refuse to post anywhere except the AT. And sometimes the art forums.

What age do I expect people to be? Around 15 all the way to 25ish. I was surprised at the age group of everyone in my guild on Gaia. We are all from the AT, which has apparently succumbed to the younger generation. But the majority of them are mature.

I have guild members that are 13 o 3o

I can't really say I'm surprised by my fellow Midoreans since I'm still fairly new and barely know anyone yet.

I am 19. I am not sure if I have posted here yet. It has been a while and my memory is bad. Anyways...some days I feel old, but here I feel like I fit in quite nice. Everyone is nice and mature if not older like me.

Its odd though because inside..in my heart I am still a little 14 year old girl. That is kinda where I left off in my life. But here I am 19 and I dont know what the heck happened. How did I get here...oh I have no freaking clue.

Anyways I am in college now and going on my second year. It iscary as hell in the world stay young while you can!

Hm. I found avatar sites at around... age of 10-11 sooo... I'd be at around 11 when I found out about them. (gaia)
I think people tend to join them at that age.

Generally, I'm usually in the middle age group for avatar sites, but with this one, I feel young. I don't mind though. This community has proved to be pretty literate, which is important to me. I know, I'm only like a day old, so I probably shouldn't be talking, I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying it here!

I'm 18, so apparently I fall within the expected/most common age group here.

@Chere and Rose: But doesn't Gaia have a "You must be older then 16 to join this site" thing in there rules/ ToS? I thought that they did that so they could get sued for the legal implementations of 'oh noes! Boobies! We sue you now for sexual content!" laws.

I tend to hand around groups older then myself though. It's not that I don't like people that are younger then me- it just really REALLY irritates me when people use chat speak, don't spell out there words an gnrlly tlk lyk thus. That annoys me. Also, I'm ok with an occasional slip of txt speak but my mum whose 40 talks like that.

I normally hang around 20 year olds because they haven't seemed to notice since I was 16 that I'm younger then them. I guess I just act a different age to what I really am.
