The background is ok. But it would be nice to maybe have the option to change it to a different color. I have to admit it gives me a headache after a while. Im not going to pass judgement until some of the blenders come in. (like the ivy and florals that were mentioned.)

My complaint is the scroll bar. You can hardly make out where it is.

I completely understand what you mean be the practically invisible scroll bar, cause when I sneak on at school and use internet explorer (since they don't have mozilla firefox) I'm stuck with nicely blending in scroll bar. >_> Which is why I'm so happy all mouses I use have scroll wheels on them! : D And also that I have mozilla firefox at home. X3

I was going to say earthy green, but then again, I heard about leaves?

better make sure is a CGI one, because with natural leaves there are many colors, with mixed with font practically blind someone!

A gradient is nice too though, just a suggestion :3

If I may kindly give my educated feedback? I've been doing webdesign for about 10 years. I'm also pretty educated in color theory. n_n;

It's not related to monitor brightness or anything like that. I usually turn mine down lower because my eyes are quite light-sensitive. It's still very difficult to bear.

Green is actually a very good color to use, since it contains the widest area of the spectrum. It's the most soothing color on the eyes. However, the problem is that the color that you're using is very highly saturated. It's also starkly contrasted against the deep blue. (Two cool colors, but you've got a warm green against a cool blue. This creates a lot of contrast) Although I think this would work well if used in moderation, there's a bit too much of it.

The picker is directly on the edge. This is the highest saturated area. Although it would be worse it was in the top corner. This means highest brightness and highest saturation. Very bad for large areas of color in web design. You want your visitors to come to the site and spend long amounts of time chatting. Instead, members have a difficult time looking at the page. If you can get them to look around for longer than a minute, they might click around. But it can become too difficult to look at for too long.

Now, if you just moved the slider a bit more toward the middle, this lessens the saturation. It also makes it a little easier on the eyes. What I did was I hit the alert button toward the top. This changes the color to something more appropriate for printing (just a shortcut to pick something easier to look at... but not a bad idea)

The result when applied to the page

Now you have something a little more soothing and relaxing on the eyes.

You could also change the post areas to a white color, or a very pale green. Or mix it up a bit, add more areas of color to make the page spring to life and create more visual interest. It might be important to consider incorporating the world you are trying to create into your design. You have an RP site with some interesting races. Why not paint us a vision of your world instead of a large block of color? It certainly makes it more interesting and fun.

Yes, yes! Expect lots of vines and leaves and trees and all kinds of stuff. XD

Oh, that is going to look nice. I don't know why but with all this green I keep getting the Autumn feeling at this site.
And in truth it would go great with other Autumnal colours.

I'll also talk with her about how to make it less blinding. ^w^

I'd suggest keeping the space where the posts show up white. Then around the posts there may be green, or whatever she's planning.

Wow...your eyes must really love the brightness of the green. Cause when I first saw the change of the layout to green I was like WTH?!? MY EYES ARE DYING. D: But now I've gotten used to it, though a still darker colour would be awesome. 8]

And the final colour of the background would prolly be a dark lime green. >w< Hopefully that only be too blinding. >w<
