((The collab is taking lots of time and energy from me, so sorry for not replying sooner. Added Tsemara to the players list; welcome aboard! And yeah, now I should post something!))

Lei agreed to meet with the others just as the bell announcing the return to class rang. She got up and grabbed her platter with one hand and Illya with the other, making a small head sign as she ran away. She didn't have much interest for the History class she was attending this afternoon, but she didn't want to be late this time. After a couple of minutes of walking and running though the crowd of students, she reached her classroom, sitting at her usual spot close to the window. The class started soon, though Lei's mind was away thinking about their plan and making sure she was ready.

After what seemed like an eternity, the bell rang again, announcing the end of class for the day. Lei quickly escaped from the room. She thought she had saw Melody a couple time while walking back to the dorm, but with the other students all around blocking her sight, she could hardly see anything. She was still a young, small child compared to the others, after all. She let the flow of students lead her to the dorms, quickly running to her bedroom. Since she was sharing it with three other girls and didn't want them to know anything about their plan, she knew she needed to move quickly. She entered her room, emptying her backpack on her bed. She wouldn't need math and history books in the wood now, would she? She opened a large chest at the end of her bed, containing her warmer clothes and some other things. She grabbed a fresh set of pants and sweater, putting them in the bag. She also took a spare set of bed sheets, which she remembered could be tied to make a rope if needed. She closed the chest and sat on her bed, replacing the things correctly in her bag so it wouldn't look abnormally full.

Once that was done, she took a last look around, wondering if she would need anything else. She didn,t want to have to get things in the early morning, because then her roommates would be around and it could be dangerous. She grabbed a small notebook and her pencils case, throwing them in the bag with the rest. After all, she didn't knew what they would find in the building or what else they could discover in the woods, so something to take notes could always be useful. She knew she didn't need to make anything special for Illya, as the bear was always with her anyway. And food... well, they could get some extras when they go to dinner, or just go fetch some early in the morning, like if they had woke up earlier. Thinking everything was ok, Lei got up from her bed and replaced her school books correctly, on her side table, like she would have normally done. She placed her bag beside the table, where it would usually be, so that no one would wonder about it.

Once everything was ready to her taste, Lei grabbed her bear plush and exited her room, going toward Melody's. She passed by two of her roommates, exchanging a little "Hi!" with them as they passed by. Lei tried to look as normal as possible, but deep inside she was really excited about all this. It was the first time something interesting happened at the school, or in her life, for that matters. Of course, she had done and saw some interesting things before, but it usually didn't last for long. And for the first time, she could actually feel like she was bonding with some people, which was quite a nice feeling.

Lei arrived in front of Melody's room and knocked, hoping the other was already there. She wasn't exactly sure how many time had passed since the end of the classes. Hearing someone telling her to come in from the other side of the door, Lei entered the room, quickly closing the door behind her. "Hope I didn't make you wait for too long," Lei said as she turned to face Melody, letting the now-alive Illya get down to the floor. Noticing Lynx wasn't there, Lei shook her head, hoping the feline had not gotten in troubles during the afternoon, or simply forget about their meeting. Noticing the bags, she said: "So, how are things going?"

Lynx sighed and ran a hand through her wild hair, looking suddenly exhausted. "No...you're not my replacement. Not entirely. You can still feel pain. They still have a need for me yet..." Lynx frowned deeply. Though she hated how Dr. Reeves and Dr. Jones abused her, no one else had an ability like her own. Self-preservation. Unable to feel pain and self-healing, all combined into one. With this power she kept herself useful and alive. It kept her from disappearing, like so many students before her. If not for her mental status, she would already be far from this school and probably an "agent" to the government. More like a slave, she thought bitterly. Noticing the effect she was having on the other girl, Lynx tried to calm herself down, taking deep breaths and focusing elsewhere.

But when Jordan mentioned that she was going crazy from being locked up, Lynx's eyes widened a bit before she simply laughed out loud at the entire concept. "No, no! You're not crazy, Jordan. No worries there. I can spot the crazy ones a mile away, since I am certified insane." Shaking her head, Lynx sighed deeply and eyed the Puma with a half-smile. "I wonder which one of us they made first...I wonder if they saw how much they screwed up on me and made you to fix their mistake. Or maybe they created you first and tried to make me better by adding more to the mix. I wonder if we were made around the same time..." It was fascinating, to see this other feline. Lynx wondered if they had anything else in common. Did this other girl like to explore by the light of the moon? Did she prefer the darkness? Did she have the instinct to hunt? To pounce, to roar, to purr, to enjoy being a feline!

"But you can't replace me...that's good. That means I won't disappear yet, like all the others have. That means you won't have to go through all the tortures I go through. I wouldn't wish that on anybody." Lynx's eyes flew upwards suddenly, locking onto a camera that was mounted nearby. No doubt they had been watching this entire time. "Walk with me...?" Lynx asked as she padded away from the spot and through the grass. She had no destination in mind, she simply wanted to be on the move.

Melody smiled when she turned and saw Lei enter the room. "Hope I didn't make you wait for too long," the younger girl said.
"No, not at all," Melody answered. Lei looked at her bags and asked how things were going. "Pretty well so far. I emptied a backpack and put some spare clothes, some stuff we might find useful, oh and some bottles of water. I think we'll have to get some extra food at dinner time, or maybe I could sneak in later in the night. I could always shift into something like a bird, or even some mist or...something, and slip into the kitchen unnoticed. Then I could change some food into the same stuff as me, or something like that and sneak it back into my room. I'd have to do it one item at a time, so it might take a while, but we've got a backup plan at least." Realising she was rambling she chuckled nervously and sat down on the edge of her bed, motioning for Lei, and even Illya if she wanted, to join her.

"I hope Lynx is okay," she vocalised her slight fear. "I know stuff can often be crazy with her. But we didn't set a time or anything, so you could just be early." She smiled and there was a short silence in which she was sure Lei was also worrying about Lynx. "So," she finally said, turning to Lei, "do you have any ideas or anything about any extra supplies to take, or how we should go about leaving in the morning? We might as well brainstorm a little until Lynx arrives."

((Fun fact: Pumas can’t roar. Their throats aren’t built for it. That’s why they can purr.))

Jordan hesitated for a moment, as Lynx turned away. She scanned for whatever caught the other hybrids’ gaze, spying the hidden camera. She waved at it nonchalantly before following the older woman. She felt compelled to follow the cat woman. Even though she had been frightened earlier, she was almost certain that the other hybrid meant her no harm. The puma in her was a little less willing to trust something that was made up of other predators, at least, not until it got to know the other first. Did Lynx feel the same way? It was a slightly depressing thought.

The cool grass felt good beneath her feet as she loped after the older cat woman. Her tail trailed lazily behind her. She mulled over what Lynx had said before she noticed they were being watched. Did she not feel pain? Were they using her like a lab rat? Jordan shuddered at the thought of the doctors cutting living people open in the name of science. And Lynx did not seem insane. At least, she did not seem mad to the puma hybrid. Surely hearing thoughts that were a result of genetic splicing did not make one insane. Or maybe it might. Too many voices could be troublesome, ust when talking with people. She had problems with only one extra set of instincts and thoughts. How many more did Lynx have? Did they suggest things she might not have ever thought of as a human? Did she have the urge to prowl about the grounds and stalk unsuspecting people just for fun? Or take leisurely naps at odd hours, in the branches of trees or other high places? She shook her head with a sheepish grin, attempting to dispell the thought.

“Mmm…I’m afraid I don’t know when I was erm, mutated.” She pondered a bit. “They started testing when I was about five, I think. I don’t really remember. I didn’t notice any changes until about three, maybe four years ago. They might have noticed something, before that, but I didn’t.” She sighed and turned her gaze at the sky. “I hope I wasn’t intended to replace you, or anyone for that matter.” She shook her head, and returned her gaze in the direction they were walking in. “I was told the reason why they were doing this, once. They said it was for some great and noble cause. But I haven’t seen anything so noble about it. Sure they’ve done incredible things, but that doesn’t make them great.” She huffed through her nose in a rather unladylike fashion. “Sometimes I wonder why they can’t leave well enough alone.”

Lei sat down on the bed, beside Melody, wondering what Lynx was doing. She had mixed feelings about it. She thought the feline girl was trustworthy and she was almost sure she would come, since she had express many times that she wanted to get out of this place. But at the same time, Lynx wasn't the most stable person. And what if the doctors had caught her and shoot her something, and she had spoken about their plan? The young girl shook her head, trying to chase her fears away and concentrating on the task at hand. "I think we should try to get food at dinner time. I mean, I'm sure you could always find a way to get some at night, but it would look strange if you were caught or something. From what I know, it's not forbidden to take lunch into the living area or your bedroom, so we could come back here or in Lynx's room with her platters and save some food for tomorrow."

Lei took a little pause, trying to think about what they could need except food, clothes and other simple supplies. It was somewhat difficult to do though, as they didn't knew what they were going to encounter... Plus, taking too much of useless things would just slow them down and exhaust them more quickly, which was certainly not a good thing. "Uh, let's see," Lei started to think out loud, sharing her ideas with Melody so that it could make them clearer. "I've taken some warm clothes, in case we need them. I also have some sheets we could tie up to make a rope or something, and some paper and pencil in case we need to write something... We'll need some food, for sure... I don't know, I think it's about all we could need, or at least what we could take without being noticed... Maybe something to light up a fire, or something that could keep us warm would be nice, but I'm not sure what it could be or how we can get it..." Lei looked around the room, wondering if Lynx would be there soon.

Melody nodded at Lei's suggestion that it would be less suspicious to just take their food from dinner time and use it for the trip in the morning. She listened to Lei's list of things she'd thought they could use and said, "Oh yes, sheets! That's a good idea, even if we only need something else to keep us warm." She paused and thought for a moment, thinking. "As long as we have some flammable materials - and I'm guessing being in a forest we should be able to find some wood suitable for burning even if it rains - fire shouldn't be a problem, I can always turn a part of me into it, and I could always turn one of the sheets into a bigger, thicker cover, too. But it's a good idea to have some backup, I mean, for all we know something out there might mess with our powers... I'm assuming it has something to do with all of these experiments."
She stood and looked through some of the drawers in her room, "Ah, spare sheets," she took a few out and began to fold them neatly before sorting them into her bag. "I've got some matches in here, even a lighter just in case. Actually, what about something to use as a weapon?"
Melody turned to look at Lei as she finished putting the sheets into her backpack and sat back beside her on the bed, "If something does happen with our powers we might be defenseless...and your powers are more on the defensive side anyway... I assume." She realised she'd never actually found out what Lei's powers were, aside from obviously being able to bring her stuffed bear to life. "That's a point... what are your powers, Lei?"

Lynx's ears twitched as Jordan spoke and she glanced back to the other feline. "Great and noble, huh? I think I've figured myself out anyways. They want me as some government killer, unstoppable and unkillable. Well, I can be killed, if I lose enough blood. And I only lose too much blood if someone keeps my flesh from healing. Like Dr. Reeves does." Lynx sneered at "Angel" Reeves' name. She growled a little, for a moment imagining all the things she'd like to do to him in return for torturing her, and it would certainly mean death for him.

Shaking the thoughts away, Lynx paused, looking up towards the dorm building. She hadn't even realized she had been walking this way; her clawed feet just took her here. Lei and Melody were inside, probably waiting for her. Her long ears flicked and she gazed back to Jordan with a frown. "My friends are up there..." Friends. It was a strange word and an even stranger concept. And Lynx realized suddenly that she wanted Jordan to become her friend. Jordan was more likely to understand her in a way no one else did. "Would you like to meet them?" She finally asked. She saw no harm in this, though the meaning behind the meeting might have to be silenced until the group decided Jordan was trustworthy.

Glorified assassins. That was the future Lynx had, if she managed to survive long enough to get there. The same fate probably awaited Jordan in the long run. She scowled at the prospect. Her mood was definitely not helped by the fact that there were some doctors at the facility that would do such barbaric experiments. Sure, her checkups were not the greatest, now that she had changed. But there was no reason to do inhumane things to any living creature. “I can’t begin to imagine what happens to you in the labs,” she shook her head, “but I can only hope that your future is brighter than that.” And mine as well, for that matter, Jordan added mentally. That was a pretty grim picture Lynx had painted.

She looked at the building they ended up walking to. Offhand she wondered if anyone had attempted to contact her in her dorm room. She surmised that they hadn’t, otherwise someone would have sent for her while she was out. An ear swiveled to focus on Lynx as she spoke. The other remained relaxed. The prospect of meeting more new people was a bit intimidating. On the other hand, it was nice to be able to talk to people besides the scientists. Lynx had shown that. “Uh, thanks. I’d be happy to meet your friends.” She paused for a second. Even though her senses told her she probably would not get a positive response, she might as well ask. “Are they hybrids too?” Jordan inquired. She had not smelt any besides Lynx, but she usually did her best to ignore the smells she noticed lately. She may have missed some just by her ignorance.

((And with that, I'll be gone for the weekend, on vacation. See you guys tuesday. Maybe monday if I don't spend the day sleeping my seasickness off.))

((Have a great weekend!))

Lei looked at Melody, realizing she had not told her what her abilities were before. And what were her abilities anyway, she thought. Obviously, she could give life to Illya, but Melody had probably already understood that. And what else did she have? She knew something strange had happened during her last experimentation session, something that had changed Illya for a short period of time and made her a real bear, or at least something close to it. Thinking about it now, it was similar to Melody's ability to change things into other things, but Lei had no idea about how to control her newly found ability, or even if it was controllable. Maybe it was just a one-time burst of life-bringer energy and would not happen anymore? She shook her head and tried to find something to say. "I.. uh..." Words were somewhat hard to find, as she didn't really know what to answer. She didn't want to look weak, after all. She decided to start with the easiest thing. "I can give life to Illya, sorta," she said, pointing at the little bear walking around the room and sniffing around, "and I think I can change her, make her more like a real bear."

Lei hoped it would do the trick, for now at least. Maybe she could talk more with Melody later and ask her how she controlled her powers. She looked around, wondering where Lynx could be. Illya had decided to lay on the ground, waiting for something interesting to happen. If Lei managed to turn her into a real bear, or at least a bigger plushie, it could certainly be useful... The young girl shook her head again, bringing her attention back onto their planning. Weapons could be useful, especially of something out there ended up messing with their powers, but what could they bring? Obviously, Lynx would be able to fight with her claws, like any good feline, but herself and Melody would be quite useless without any weapons. "I think I remember seeing some old hockey sticks in the locker room... Maybe we could take some as weapons? I mean, they are not good at anything, but at least they are sturdy... And no one will notice two or three sticks missing, especially with other kids breaking some everyday or so."

((Alright guys brace for impact I'm joining!))

Username: BubbleTrouble

Character's name: Eve Church

Sex: Female

Age: 14

Mutation(s): Major- Link to Nature. Minor- Manipulation of weather, Eve often makes it rain for the plants when she is allowed to.

Description: Eve has dull blonde hair that reaches to the middle of her back, soft green eyes and a petite figure. She is normally in the school outfit, which for her is a simple smart dress without sleeves, with a long sleeved white button shirt underneath and white tights. Eve loves being outside close to greenery, tending to it and seems to enjoy the company of nature more so then that of humans, though she doesn't dislike human company. She often reads and studies while relaxing there, which seems to be her favourite past time. This is probably also because Eve tries hard at doing well in her classes. She's not necessarily shy but she doesn't say much unless spoken to and can become irritable if bothered to much while reading, Eve is quite gentle and nice though and will always be willing to help for a good cause, she especially likes helping the younger children with work.

Biography: Eve became an orphan after her teenage Mother got pregnant and decided she didn't want and couldn't care for the baby, as for Eve's Father, he was out of the picture as soon as her Mom said she was pregnant. Eve's grandparents were Catholic and refused their daughter a termination and instead gave the child up for adoption upon it's birth. Though Eve has little recollection of any of her time as an orphan and how she became one, being taken into the labs at a very young age, she has been told her past and it is a sensitive subject for her. She was miserable in the labs as she was not allowed outside very often and when she did go out it was normally for tests; though she was given pot plants and flowers to try to help her feel better she became very depressed and felt isolated, eventually they decided it would be best for her to attend the school where she could go outside, play and interact with other children. This turned out to be all she needed and now Eve's depression and sense of isolation is gone.

Other: Eve always has her messenger bag full of her books and work supplies with her. She enjoys outside sports, but is not the best at it and she has a large knowledge on nature and caring it, for obvious reasons. Eve also has ancestry in England.

((Thanks Maeve, I'll get to posting now. I've looked over what's been going on but if I get anything a bit wrong just say and I'll edit it))

Eve began packing her books back into her bag slowly. She sat leaning against a large tree comfortably, a bit too comfortably in fact as she now didn't want to move. She had seen the time though and had realised staying out here would probably get her in trouble, she sometimes good annoyed at herself for always following the rules. She wedged her large history book in beside her biology one, thinking about what a good history lesson it had been, when she heard voices not far off. Normally she would probably have ignored it but for some reason or another she decided to go and check it out, maybe it was because of some of the other kids had going missing she was curious to see what was going on.
Eve hide behind a tree as she got closer to what she realised were two hybrids, she recognised them as Jordan and Lynx. In truth the two of them scared her a little being older and stronger, at least she had plenty of plants around to comfort her. She listened to their conversation. She was hiding behind a tree as she did so, Eve had in truth become to scared to move when she realised who they were, she knew she could probably be easily detected by the two of them if she did. She stayed quiet until they moved away, but their conversation had aroused interest. She wondered if they knew anything about the disappearing children something, Lynx had talked about replacements, hadn't she? Eve followed them as they moved toward the building rather than avoiding them. "I don't think you two should be out here..." she said bravely gaining their attention, she began to feel nervous, but her curiosity was too much to ignore.

"My future will be brighter...if I have anything to say about it," was Lynx's reply as she half-smiled at Jordan. Lynx's tail flicked back and forth thoughtfully as she shook her head, her red-gold eyes still trained on the window where she knew Melody's room to be. Lei and Melody were up there, waiting for her, she was sure of it. "No...they are not hybrids. Not like us. They both seem very normal." She lowered her eyes a bit, for a moment wondering why such "normal" people wanted anything to do with her. She was, after all, the local crazy girl. Why would anyone want to be around her madness?

A voice behind them made Lynx whirl, her ears pinned back as she raised her lip in a hiss. The animalistic noise faded, however, when she saw that it was only another student. She breathed in this girl's scent, placing a face with the smell, and her tail gave another flick. "It is late to be out. But I got out of Dr. Jones' office late. Why are you out after dark?" She challenged in return. She knew Jordan was feline, like her, and this explained the after hours activity. But most of the children were in the dorm, asleep or getting ready for bed, and it was past curfew. So why was this girl sneaking around after dark and spying on her and Jordan? Were the adults up to something? Did they send other students to spy on her, suspecting something? Lynx's hair stood on end at the thought and she glared at this new girl suspiciously, waiting for an answer.

Eve looked up at the older girl her green eyes wide and expressive with fear at the feline girl's hiss, she calmed as Lynx stopped though. Eve took a deep breath looking from Lynx to Jordan then back again. "I just lost track of time, it's happened to me before... I just prefer it out here, I'm not doing anything I shouldn't. Are you?" Eve said realising her nerves were making her ramble, she lowered her gaze to the floor slowly. "It's alright, if you are I won't say anything, after all I'm not ment to be out here, whether it was a mistake or not." Eve's bag slips off her shoulder, her attention for holding it there gone, her books spread out on the floor making her jump. She went after them grabbing them and placing them back into there places as fast as she could.

((I'm back!!))

The sound of meeting more students was intriguing. Even if they were the normal looking ones. Curiosity was getting the better of her shyness, compelling her to meet the new people. And, though she would probably never admit it, Jordan was pleased to see Lynx give a small smile. She probably was not too much older than the puma woman, but her eyes were the oldest she had ever seen. Even the doctors, who were much older than the hybrids, did not have eyes as worn down as Lynx had. Seeing that small, even hopeful, light, gave Jordan a reason to grin herself. However, she nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of another stranger.

She originally had thought that she had been discovered by one of the lab technicians. However it had only shown that she had been snuck up on by another student. That was a rather unnerving experience. Though the girl looked like she meant no harm, the puma inside her was unsettled that she had allowed herself to be snuck up on. She had said nothing at the confrontation, feeling that it was not her place to say anything. Besides, she too had lost track of time, napping in the boughs of a tree.

She felt a bit bad about the exchange of words, having felt as uncomfortable as Eve looked not too long ago. When the girl dropped her books, Jordan went to help pick them up. “I don’t think there’s any reason to be afraid. Everyone loses track of time at some point. Besides, I feel better being outside than inside anyway.”

She listened to see if there were any other people just randomly roaming around the compound. She had enough surprises for one day. All they needed now was for some scientist or a keeper to randomly walk by and start berating them for being out on the ground after hours. Jordan shook the thought from her head.
