So we finished the book Candide in English recently, and the teacher surprised us with the Broadway musical of it. XD I've had the songs stuck in my head since fourth peroid.

Life is Happiness Indeed

So, has anyone read/watched Candide? What did you think of it?

XD We just started the Candide unit this week! I'm excited, I love Voltaire. I think I might read it all this weekend.

I read Candide twice last year, both times for English classes. I thought it was really good, though I'm really tired of writing essays on it. x_x

Gabriel Garcia Marquez? I LOVED One Hundred Years of Solitude. I haven't read Love in the Time of Cholera yet, though I own it.

I read Candide in my AP french class and wrote an essay about it on my AP Literature test. XD

It's one of the best satires of all time!
