| ((Go where you want on this one I originally had some malexmale elements to it but can change if you would like.))
It had been before sunrise that Batu had found him self shaken awake. Half dazed and slightly startled he found him self staring up in to the wild eyes of his mistress.
“Batu, Batu”, She whispered urgently her voice cracking. “You go to him now, he having a fit. He will not sleep. Batu please, go?” It took him a moment to comprehend the frantic woman through her thick northern accent. But with more pushing and some clothing being shoved at him he finally understood her pleading.
Moving silently through the large house, and several of the out door court yards, Batu found himself at the door of the master’s room. A heavy crash and swearing made Batu cautious as he pushed the heavy door aside and stepped in to the large room. Draped in silks and rich velvets spoke of old wealth, but in the apparent fit had been sent in to disarray with drapes half off their rods, and priceless pieces scattered and smashed about on the floor. Picking his way about the over turn items to the large bed the dominated the far end of the room Batu gave a slight sigh. Collapsed on top of the covers lay his master, eyes closed and breathing heavily he held his hand up beckoning Batu to him. Pausing Batu looked the man over for a moment, before arranged him self next to him in a cat like fashion.
“Batu” He murmured his hand twisting about Batu’s waist drawing him close along his side. “Batu, Batu, Batu. I am falling apart my son is dead, Batu my house is divided. My father calls upon me asking why I only had one son. My wives and lover fight among one another, each hoping for a new place in my bed. Tell me Batu, what am I to do? Ayanna can’t have any more children I fear, and other of my other wives have only given me daughters. I need no more of them, 10 was far more then I wanted… Oh Batu, Batu. This house has become worn with sorrow and hate. Batu, I have an idea go bring me some thing home that will lessen the grief of this house and put things right.”
Batu started to pull him self up his mind reeling with shock, but his master pulled his wrist his eyes open locking with Batu’s.
”Not now, when the sun rises you shall go. Now, Now I need some one to stay with me.” He said his voice soft and commanding as he pulled Batu back to him for the few hours they had left.
It had been hours since the sun had rose and yet Batu still hadn’t managed to for fill the task he had been assigned that morning. Pushing his way about dusty streets he cringed as traders hawked their wears Human and non to passer buyers with much more enthusiasm then the near noonday sun should have allowed for. Grumbling under his breath at what on earth he could bring home he let him self be drawn towards the sound of music.

| ((malexmale is good XD))
Kiel struck a pose and held it, a giant smile on his face. Another perfect act completed. He dropped down into a graceful bow, accompanied by his youngest older sister, then stood back up. Not many people were paying attention to them today, and the ones who were, though they were mystified, weren't paying well. "You may have to resort to job two," his sister had whispered on their way up from the bow. He had nodded ever so slightly, just enough for her to read the gesture, but no one else could.
It was as if their father had heard them and disapproved, for he started up a song that required Kiel to use his voice instead of his body. He shot his sister a pouty face, then straightened and began to sing.
Most of the songs he sang were upbeat and charismatic. This one, however, his father had specifically written to match his son's voice. It was a haunting tune, one that caused people to listen, even if they didn't want to. And one that replayed itself over and over in people's minds. The song told of a wealthy man's daughter, who fell in love with one of his slaves. On the eve that they were to run away together, her father found out and in his anger, set his finest dogs out on them. Kiel doubted if that kind of thing ever really happened, as he found it impossible that a father would be so angry with his child that he would kill them, but his father had simply stated that if such didn't happen, where did the ideas and rumours come from?
He grinned widely when he finished, relieved to see that the song had worked it's magic and the tiny crowd that had been there had almost doubled in size. But at the same time, so did disappointment. Now that they'd gotten the crowd's attention, his father would continue to have him sing, not dance. He couldn't pick pockets while he sang...
The look of disappointment must've shown on his face for a split second because his sister gave him a pat on the shoulder before she was forced to join into the new song their father had started on her lute. Kiel smiled back, sighed, then started singing once more.

| Batu let him self be draw to the edge of the gathering crowd listening to the sad tale the singer wove as it entranced all that heard it. Finding a stack of crates to lean against he let him self for a moment be entranced in the music. Letting his mind drift between ideas he watched the singing duo as they turned to another song.
It took only a few more moments for the idea to fully form. Inspired in part by the youths voice and his own memories, he figured it was at least a possible plan to bring this singing duo back with him. Music had allways been the base of his masters home, as before his young master death there had allways been a band of mistrals and other preforms called upon to serve the house.
Resolved in his decision he started to weave his way about to the front of the crowd and the man playing the lute.

| Kiel knelt into a dramatic bow at the end of his song. His father had forced two more songs out of him, but was finally showing pity. He called for a five minute break, then turned his back to his children and started packing up some instruments.
Kiel turned to his sister, Yana, and grinned widely. "I doubt dad'll have anything to say about that performance. It was nearly flawless!" He boasted, planting his hands on his hips.
"Yeah, but if I don't get over there and help with the packing, he'll certainly have something to say about that. Try not to get yourself into too much trouble in the meantime, Squirt," his older sister laughed, then pulled gently at his ponytail. She threw her lute onto her back, then proceeded back to her father to help him pack.
"Ah, jeez, Yana, my hair!" He grimaced slightly, then pulled the tye out of his hair, letting it fall onto his shoulders. Combing his fingers through his hair, he surveyed his surroundings. The crowd was dispersing, leaving the little area the gypsies had claimed as theirs virtually empty. He wondered if he could pickpocket any of them as they left, then thought against it. It was harder to take things from people when you were just standing around. No, he would wait and do it under the guise of his dancing.
He noticed out of the corner of his eye as he was putting his hair back up, that there was one guy who was not leaving. He shrugged it off. He's probably just waiting for the next round. Not that I can blame him. We are pretty amazing, Kiel thought to himself, turning to watch his parents and sisters.

| ((^^; Sorry this took a bit been a long week here....any ways onwards))
Batu watched the last few songs his mind slowly solidifying the plan that had sprung so haphazardly to his mind. As the crowd dispersed he took a moment to survey the group before walking softly to the man left in the center of the performance space. Stopping casually before him he looked him over one final time before voicing his request.
"Pardon me, but do you all preform at privet residences? If so my Master asks of you and your female companion to come and sing for him"

| ((^^; That's alright! Don't worry about it. It's been kinda hectic around here as well))
Kiel blinked at the guy who'd approached him confusion. A private performance? "Erm, I can't say that I know the answer to that. We've never gotten such an offer," he replied. He looked back over at his sister, then held up a finger to the stranger, indicating for him to wait a moment, and walked over to her.
"'Ey Yana," he called once he was close by. She turned to look at him and he waved her over, not wanting to say anything in front of their parents. If they heard, the answer would be a definite no. Once by his side, he grinned up at her in that childish way that meant he had something planned. "Well, what is it?" She asked.
"Y'see that guy over there?" He asked, pointing. Yana looked at where he was indicating and nodded. "Well, he wants us to do a private gig for his, ah..... 'Master'." At the skeptical look on her face, his grin widened slightly. "It's a chance to make some extra cash, and I won't have to resort to plan B."
"Alright," Yana finally sighed. "You go let him know we'll do it. I'll let Mum and Dad know that we're going to go perform on our own and will meet up with them a little later."
Kiel practically skipped back over to the stranger. "Alright. Yana and I have decided to take you up on your offer."

| Batu watched as the man skipped away rather regretting now his choice. "Perhaps I should have asked the guild" He though watching the two converse, " perhaps this whole thing was foolish"
Shoving his thoughts aside as the Man approached him again and gave him their consent.
"Good, we shall go now then. But you will not preform till later as you will be given time to eat and practice." Batu said with a slight tilt of his head "If that is all right with you?"

| Kiel opened his mouth to reply, but Yana cut him off.
"Yes, that's fine. How long do you estimate we will be in your company?" She asked, trying to sound as mature and no-nonsense as she could. Kiel held back a snicker, then turned his attention to the stranger.
"Ignore her. She tries to pretend she's something she's not. Like an adult or mature. Anyway, she's Yana and I'm Kiel. What do you go by? We can't just call you Stranger," Kiel rambled in a friendly tone. Yana shot him a very disapproving look, and he just shrugged it off, giving the stranger a look like "Eh, women".
((Sorry that took so long. Things have been crazy around here, and I'm going on vacation soon, so my next post or two may be a bit delayed))

| ((That is ok, I am gearing back up for school so I might be equally slow...))
Batu's eyes gave a slight crinkle at their banter. "Batu" He offered "And it depends on how well you play capture the house as you did that crowd and you will have hours worth of time. But I warn you now there are a few topics to keep off. But this is neither the time nor place for that, shall we?"
He gave a turn and held his arm out to Yana.

| Yana gave his arm an untrusting look, then sent a glare in her brother's direction and took the offered arm hesitantly. Kiel smirked at them both and crossed his arms behind his head. Secretly, Kiel wondered what topics they were to stay away from, and he wanted to know right at that moment. But since he had been told not to worry about it at the moment, he decided to let it go. Playfully, he looped his arm around his sister's other arm, and grinned.
"Let us be off, then!"

| Batu nodded then as he begin to lead the pair through the winding ways of the market back to the house. Half watching the two out of the corner of his eyes he let his mind drift to his next problem; how to present his idea to his master.
The lack of music in the house made it feel as though ages had past not the mere months since they had laid the young master to rest. The only music then had been the fighting of his masters old father and the squabbling of wives and lovers, each looking for another male to be born (or in the case of his father for him to wed again and hope his forth wife would do so).
As the lanes became less crowded and the walls around each small set of houses higher, Batu found him self watching the pair more and more as they drew further and further away from the market. A few more narrow roads later they came to the edge of the city were the rooftops could no longer be seen behind the walls and the streets became wide and silent. Taking a turn down the lane Batu skirted the front of a rather large gate instead ducking down a small ally to the side of it and a few turns later stopped at the gate where he was met by a rather stern faced woman who pushing it open pulled them inside.
“Batu the mistress wants you now,” She said her voice sharp, “ Leave what ever you have brought with me and go.”
Batu ducked his head then and turned to the pair, “Please let AHase, take care of you I shall return soon. My apologies.”
