| So this event on Mido got me to thinking. When it comes to Avatar sites, and RolePlays too I suppose, do you like events/holidays/festivals based off of real world ones. Or ones made up by the site/RP creator?
What about other real world things, like months and days. Do you rather them follow real world names, or have other names?
Myself, I'm for both. I love seeing people's imagination. So new holidays and festivals are fun. But I still like the ones based on real world holidays. Especially Halloween.
I'd prefer different names for days and months to be left out though, at least as far as an avatar forum goes. In RolePlay it's usually fine. It just makes it confusing on a site when it has the date stamp as something other then Mon., Tue., Wed. and so on.

| I myself preffer made up holidays :3 sure, Halloween is nice <3 but the event items in all sites are the same:
Haloween - something blak and orange, pumpkins , "scary stuff"
Christmas- red white and green, presents, snowflakes , (snow)
easter- rabbits, chickens, colourful eggs, baskets and such.
It's nice but gets boring over time...
Maybe events based on things that aren't holidays in real life would be cool?
It would be nice to have something like a a "cool wind appreciation day" in summer xD to thank the cold breeze in hot summer days <3 or a "first three thunders" in spring event. I don't know how it is in other countries, but in my country it's said you can't go swimming or go sit on the ground in the spring until you hear 3 thunders, because up to then all the coldness is still in the ground and in the water so if you swim or sit down there's a high chance of you getting sick :3 ... so why not celebrate the three thunders? I'd love to have any electricity-related items, or a big dark cloud over my head :3

| I don't RP, but for avatar sites, I prefer real/plausible holidays usually. The only exception is Easter because I'm usually with family and don't have time for an event.
I also say real/plausible because I like when sites do more harvest/season related festivals as well as ones for comercial hollidays. Also I like when sites take a different spin on a holiday, and tie it in. Easter, while I love getting bunny ears, doesn't have to be the christian holliday, it can just be a spring festival. Halloween doesn't have to have pumpkins, but going with the darker theme is nice, or end of summer type holliday.
<.< The only thing I'm really against is either making a holiday that doesn't really make sense, and when all the events are all at once. T_T

| I think the combination of both opton would be really niiiice~
and Indigo has some really cool ideas I would love to habe a "cool wind appreciation day" xD maybe ome could have an "air con" and some "clouds" and dunno what else for EIs xD
as for the days and month, I think they should stay the same cuz I get confused easily DX and since my memory is bad I probably wouldn't be able to remember the names XD
