Not spite, Chu, just restating what she said earlier that she had ranted. I suppose mine was a little bit of one, as well.

It wasn't necessarily a glitch or something, it was just a complaint, really, that the NPC's aren't interacting enough with other players or something.

I took no real offense, but when I'm constantly mentioned and "supposedly claimed him or something" made me out to be kind of a .. I don't know how to put it, just kinda rubbed me the wrong way a little bit.

And yeah, I get that all the time. People are always 'tl;dr *posts one liners and completely ignores*'.

Not like I don't put any effort in posting or anything. Meh, but whatever. That's why I stick to my click. Everyone 'joined' the thread, but if you don't reach out to other people to rp with, you're only going to stick to your click.

I directly reach out to people, put their names in and everything, and still get ignored entirely. But you know, that's how it is when you have a thread filled with, what, 50 people now? I didn't count how many profiles are in front. It's hard to keep up with everyone that suddenly notices you (or in some cases, don't).

It's just how it works. The event's almost over, I know you mods are totally swamped, so it's understandable you don't just sit around waiting to be noticed, and when you are, you get a flood of people wanting to talk to you.

It's fine if I'm not noticed to me anyway. I'm pretty much a hermit when it comes to rp ( or rather I'm extremely picky about it because half the time, the only people who notice my posts or try to respond that aren't (As I've been so rudely reminded over aim by one or two little butt munches) 'in the same elitist class' they don't have the same aspect of roleplay). Roleplay's just for fun, and most of the folks that are roleplaying just want a quick romance or the items.

I do it because I wanted to find new rp partners. I found two. (Well, one I already had but virus ftf.). And I'm good. I've tried reaching out, but I get bored waiting to be noticed or anything, I understand where the mods are coming from, but also from other people's point of view.

When no one else is online and I'm the only one on that's roleplaying, of course I'm going to be noticed. The NPC Fuu Sho comes on generally late at night, which is when I'm ALWAYS on at least for a while. So we entertain each other until one of us has to go to bed. Sorry if I seem like an attention whore or something because I interact with the mods, but I've been here a while, I try to make friends with everyone. :<

I dunno, I just see threads like this and to me, it comes across sort of like whining. Not that I'm saying that was Kasumi's point in posting this thread, but, I mean, it happens. With every person that posts, not everyone's going to be happy.

I have no life, so I'm always on posting and stuff. I guess that's why I'm so liked. I'm always here (Unless I have to go babysit my neighbor who has cancer), so that means I'm always accessible. But, you know, after a while I just want to give up putting as much effort into my posts to play with other people and I get ignored, too. Just gotta shrug it off and keep goin', I suppose.

I kinda understand why it upset you. While I was reading it I thought about how it would've upset me had I been you.

Two years ago I used to roleplay like you do, Aaya. Then I stopped for a almost two years and now that I've come back to it I'm too lazy most of the time.

And as embarrased as I am to say it, I've got no idea what tl;dr means.

It seems most encounters with Sho have something to do with food or sleeping. That was what mine was about.

Oh, and I've been swamped with a lot of drama and school work lately. I just had a good cry about it though so I'm about to get back to work and finish up this project of mine, then I'll get on and roleplay.

... And eat somewhere in that time span.


Anyway, I created this roleplay idea because I wanted people to branch out a bit and make friends. I wanted Mido to be a bit more active and fun for everyone. I've always liked events where you can get involved in the plot - maybe that's where I went wrong. Maybe people just want to get the items and run. I'm sorry if this roleplay totally failed (I'm speaking to everyone now) in anyone's opinion. I'd like to know who liked and didn't like the additions in this event, so I'll probably post a feedback thread sometime next week. But, as I said, I'm sorry if I caused discontent for anyone. All I wanted was to help provide everyone with an interesting event, but I feel like I just made it tedious on the staff and members.

QUE??? No way Chu you made the roleplay so awesome! Involving the actual plot of the event with it was just genius missy! I couldn't imagine a way to possibly make it more fun or better. ;3;

Also I do the same thing as you when I'm stressed. I have a good hard cry then I'm good to go. xD

I'm glad you at least think so. ^^; I've just really seen nothing but complaints and questions on it, so I'm not confident in the general opinion of the roleplay.

I've absolutely adored this entire event! Getting the blooms, interacting with all kinds of new users that joined just BECAUSE of the event, not to mention the roleplay! It's also helped get a better cycle of items in the marketplace, too! I mean, c'mon, not everyone likes roleplay, so yeah, there's going to be a few people who are going to baw and whine and bitch about it. Just ignore them! They can still get all of the other items with it!

I think it was a great idea! Maybe next time, though, we should plan the event for sometime in the summer, that way all the mods won't be swamped with work/school. Just work. LOL *shot* This way, they can post more possibly, as npcs. I know that they're supposed to stick to a story line, but, in line of what Kasumi was saying, it would be pretty cool.

And LUF, that is true. A lot of the time, mods have to poof, and sometimes they don't have enough time to write out a post to end the rp. It's generally just understood, or the mods pm the people they're roleplaying with to tell them that they are, in fact, leaving.

A lot of time, people just don't seem to realize that there's a TIME STAMP above posts, and assume that all the posts made are recent, and that's why there's always random filler posts but no one responds to them.

Weasle - Haha, I know, right? He's just a lazy sort of laid back character. That's why I like rp'ing with him. It makes him active, keeps him on his toes. It's fun. And yeah, thanks for understanding why I reacted the way that I did. It was kind of uncalled for to drag me into it. I wasn't necessarily offended to the point that I Wanted to come across as a troll, but, I didn't want anyone to think of me in such a way, so I felt the need to make it clear. I don't try to steal attention from anyone, or else I'd just keep posting and posting and posting. That's why I'm in the hang out threads so much. I try to get to know a ton of players on the site and if they like to rp, I start thinking up roleplay ideas for later on to post in the RP thread where we all can hang out.

I'd like to be able to continue with the Lotus orchard afterward, hopefully, the event ends. It'd be great if that was an actual roleplay setting in the rp thread. Maybe an official setting, that'd be pretty neat, Chu. It'd keep interest in it, and it'd be either Mod run, or at least enforced? It just seems like a pretty area, but of course I understand that events come to an end and flowers wilt / only some trees bloom at certain times of the year.

Luf - It's not rude so much as sometimes, well, if you do it calmly and they're not in this huge plot line story, it's okay. I mean, that's what roleplaying is about. I mean, it's rude to just jump in mid conversation, but when you ask permission, perhaps? Like, the character notices them, and maybe tries to offer information or something, just directly interacts with them but gives the other players a chance to accept or to just ignore them. That's how it works with forum roleplays.

Chu - I made a ton of friends with this, I loved it, and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Most of the whiners are the folks that joined last minute, or just don't want to put the effort into roleplaying. And I hope that everything goes well with your project.

I sure am receiving a whole lot of crap because I posted this and its really starting to get to me as well.

What it all boils down to is this:

* I only mentioned Aaya by name because she was the one person who I saw interacting with the one NPC that I attempted to directly speak with.

* I'm 30 years old, please don't think that I'm childish enough to start complaining after a a single instance. I'm big enough to overlook it -not once, but several times- when the NPCs aren't around or responding to my (and some other peoples') posts. It was only after this was a repeated issue that I thought to ask about it here. And, if it were only myself I probably never would have said anything. I figure that Midorea is a relatively new site and when several people are complaining or wondering about something maybe it would be a good idea to bring things up for possible improvement.

* Perhaps I should have put this in the 'help' forum and not the feedback forum. Because, mainly, I was just pointing something out and hoping that someone would be able to point me in the right direction so that I actually could interact with the NPCs. That way I could share the knowledge with other newbies like myself and everyone would be happy.

* @ LOL - yes it was his last post for some time. Of course when something like this is happening all around you, you start to think that you're being ignored. i.e. He suddenly stopped talking when I talked to him. I realize now that this is most likely a coincidence, but its still a part of the topic at hand. When I originally posted this topic, I was only compiling my experiences.

* Concerning long posts - I'm a slow reader but a pretty fast typer. Earlier in the thread (just before I attempted to converse with Sho, actually) a character approached mine. I was in the middle of typing up a response when he got sick of waiting for me and decided to move on to something else. My post wasn't even half as long as Aaya's usually are (which is great - I commend you!) so now I'm worried that long posts aren't really worth it for me because so many people in the thread haven't the patience for them and then I don't get to participate in the conversation I was previously in.

* I appreciate all of Chu's patience and hard work. The RP has been fun and she seems to be the one of the few people who understand me on this subject. Its not an attack, just a series of observations and, at this point, who knows if its even relevant anymore.

Please try not to take what I say personally. It takes a lot to make me angry and even more to make me be deliberately mean to anyone. Please give me the benefit of the doubt and have a little faith in me before jumping on me like this?

- On a different note, is there a list somewhere of all the Midorean NPCs? Until Scribblez posted I had no idea that Alu (or any other NPCs other than those in the Flower-Viewing thread) existed.

No one was jumping on you, it's just that this thread was placed in the wrong place in the first place.

You posted this in the help thread. When there are no problems that you are experiencing with the site. NPCs are not automated, they are just roleplay characters and pictures on a shop.

The help forum is for when you can't see your inventory, you're missing an item, you can't post without getting an error etc, not to post about how you can't get any attention from the NPC's. This was placed in the suggestion forum due to the fact this was a complaint, not a request for help. It reads as a complaint about not being able to interact with the npc's much, or that one or two of the npc's weren't paying attention to you. Not because the avatars were suddenly spliced in half.

I hope you understand now, the help forum is for technical difficulties, not something that you don't like.

Also, another note, Sho's player has a habit of not posting a leaving post, they generally just pm whomever they're interacting with that they must leave due to the fact that it's generally something they wait until the last second to stick around for and then just go.

And yet another note, it doesn't matter how old you are, to be honest, I've seen 40 year olds pitch fits, so, I don't even necessarily see the point of mentioning someone's age at all.

And lol no one's attacked you at all. We were merely explaining about the NPC's and mods. If you think this is an attack, then you are clearly either not reading what anyone's said, or taking everything the wrong way. No one's attacking anyone at all, we're reiterating what is happening, not our fault if you do or don't like what was said.

If you'd read half of what I've been posting, you'd understand that I understand where you're coming from, regardless if I liked the fact you had to drag me into it (Which was entirely unnecessary, regardless if no harm was meant or not). I even made a suggestion myself about it. Which, apparently, you didn't read at all.

Aaya, I have felt attacked here. Maybe its hard for those who aren't on this end to see it, your first post alone seemed very hostile to me, and that might have been why Chu said something about it. Its not a matter of liking or not liking what is said, it is the way it is said. Several people are actually being condescending or defensive. Just the very fact that you 'lol'd' at my feeling attacked shows a lack of respect. Don't you see?

I thought I originally placed this in the 'help' forum but then I saw it here so I thought I messed up. Either way, I don't understand what the problem is. One spot is for 'feedback' (of any kind, I'm told) and the other says nothing about being restricted to site glitches. In fact, there are reference threads talking about all sorts of things - from the battle system to a break down of the currency here. So, it seems that forum is for any type of help.

If my topic was moved because the mods thought it fit better in the feedback thread, I'm fine with that. I don't always seem to post in the right place wherever I go and I am very new here so I guess I'm bound to make mistakes.

The point of this thread was an observation and then questions about it. The first thing I did was ask why my observations seemed to be true. I didn't come in here posting in caps and calling the mods owners (OR you) names or otherwise being rude. And, like I said earlier, I only mentioned your name to use your interaction with Sho as an example. If you like, I can go back and alter my first post so that I am not mentioning anyone by name.

I have read every. single. line. you - and everyone else here - has posted in this thread. Otherwise, it just wouldn't make any sense to me to respond at all.

Though I think her motive behind this thread was for the best, I'm not quite sure she(or you) went about it the right way.

In truth, I have been thinking about asking to have the thread locked/deleted ever since the issue was dealt with on the first page, before Aaya even came in.

I really wish she wouldn't be so angry with me. I still do not believe that I did a single thing wrong.
