Price Guide in the Market place

But my other point was that having a single user update the entire guide would not only leave room for fault but times of inactivity because of life interfering with their time on the site. Not one person could be accounted for, for getting on the internet every day. I'm probably the most active Midorean and I still don't get online every day.

Then it could be solved by an quick announcement of being inactive or not.

That's just a terrible amount of confusion. Also, the user that would run it would have a lot more work, rather than going to the official thread and posting the report. They don't have to figure out a range or anything.

I just don't see it as much work to make a price guide, then keeping yours up.

The reason I suggested that is because not many users report the prices.
I stalk the market a lot, so I can record them in my own.
I have a knack of forgetting or feeling too lazy to report anything honestly. T_T; I don't know why, but I just can't bring myself to report stuff. xD;

Well don't you think that if you're too lazy or forget to report things, you wouldn't update a self-run guide? I don't mean to be a smart ass but the workload on users is a lot less with how it is now.

Basically if I was to make a price guide, I would do it in my shop. Where I frequently go to to update stuff. And because I get to decorate the price guide and stuff gives me more interest in doing? XD

I don't think it would work out as well as you think. If you don't like reporting prices then there's a low chance that you'd like running your own, even if you do decorate it.

I lurk through the market to see the pricing so I can decide for myself, I don't report my transaction because sometimes it would cause too much inflation.
Of course, I doubt it's gonna be easy at all. But, perhaps something for me to do to help you guys release anymore unnecessary stress to keep up with a price guide that some users won't report? o_o Seems to me you guys are all busy because some of you barely talk anymore ;o;

I still have to say no, personally, because reporting them isn't hard at all. Of course, the decision is still left to Cat but I really don't see the purpose of a user-run price guide.

And, inflation happens. It's terrible but I'd rather have accurate prices than inflated ones. Then again, I never have to buy from the MP so my opinion probably doesn't mean much in that manner.

I don't talk anymore because I've been busy with school and private issues. DX By the way things are going, I may still not have much time during the summer. Nontheless, the price guide doesn't change how active I am at all because I don't mess with it, and LOL UR FACE merely got a virus. I don't know why Hiroku doesn't come on much anymore.

But I don't want a user run price guide. Every user run guide I've seen(on other sites) usually end up like either a) stops getting updated because the owner leaves/gets bored or b) the user take advantage of it and inflates the prices of certain items they're selling.
Of course, I have run into very legitimate user run guides. But I still think it should be a staff-only thing.
