| 1. Yes, it is possible! You enter the hexadecimal code for the colour like so: [ color=#003300]enter text here[ /color], without the spaces. So it would turn out like this. Just don't forget the hash.
2. The forums work with BBCode, so the image would need an URL. If it doesn't have one, you can easily upload one to a number of sites, like Photobucket (which seems to be the most popular). Once you've got an URL for your image, you type or paste it between [img] image url here [/img].
So an image would turn out like:

If you look at all the options above the text post, you'll see one called Img. You select the image url, click that, and then it should show up as an image (just remember, the image shouldn't be too large).
