Mirror Images

[Colin]

Lindsay nodded and left the room to do as he was asked.

Vincent just sighed.

"So... Jaden tells me his reflection looked more punk, with short black hair." he said.

"I'm willing to bet -your- reflection looked like you did back during the times of just after Salem, right?" he then asked her.

[Amber]

"Yeah, it does. Well, mostly. Looks creepier and more unnerving, though." Rowena told Vincent as she sat in the chair across from him.

"Do you have any idea about what it could be?" She asked

[Colin]

"It's a portal." he said.

"A portal to an alternate reality dimension, to be more precise." he continued.

"Without getting into a lot of complicated physics and such, let's just say it's bad luck that that mirror leads to that particular reality, as many of the residents there are trouble." he said to them.

"But it's also good luck, as it's at least a known evil... to me, anyway." he added with a shrug.

[Amber]

"How do you know that...?" rowena asked, almost hesitantly.

[Colin]

"I've met Vince before." he told her.

"A long while ago, in another mirror." he continued.

"He told me all about his world... and suffice to say, it makes our own seem like a paradise, even with that drow Shade running about."

[Amber]

"That's... actually rather scary." Rowena commented with a small sigh.

"Any ideas as to what to do with the mirror, then?" She asked.

[Colin]

"I wish we could just destroy it right now." he said to her.

"But, as a portal to another reality, it is a valuable and priceless magical artifact, and we would incur serious charges that not even Hollie would be able to get us out of." he explained.

"As such... we should cover it up with a sheet and hide it in your basement somewhere... somewhere where nobody will find it... until a decision can be made as to what do permanently do with it." he suggested.

[Amber]

Rowena sighed slightly, but nodded.

"Alright then. Come on, help me move the damn thing." She said as she got to her feet, before heading upstairs. On the way to her room,s he stopped by the linen closet and retrieved a sheet to lay over it.

[Colin]

"I'll stay here, in case anyone unexpectedly comes home." Jaden said, as Rowena and Vincent left to take care of the mirror.

When they got there, and Vincent stood in front of it, they both saw a man that looked kind of like Vincent, except his clothing was a little looser, his hair with a tad longer, and his hair was messier. He was, though, clean shaven.

"Hello, Vince." Vincent said.

"You're taking care of this portal I hope." the reflection replied, before glancing to Rowena.

"Hey there, good-looking." he said to her in a smarmy voice.

[Amber]

"Oh shut up." Rowena hissed.

"And yes, we're moving this until it can be dealt with. I hope that pleases you." She said, the fact that she didn't have her hat on was really starting to show through.

[Colin]

"Oooh, spunky." he said.

"You really lucked out there, Vinny-boy." he told Vincent.

"Can it, Vince. Rowena, throw the sheet over the mirror." Vincent said.

[Amber]

Rowena nodded.

"Sounds good." She said before quickly covering the mirror. She didn't want to say anything, since she didn't want to reveal anything to Vincent. Lord knows that he would just irritate her.

"Let's move it to the basement. No... idea where we can stash it though..."

[Colin]

Vincent thought for a moment, before snapping his fingers.

"Oh!" he said.

"What about that small room downstairs where you keep all the boxes?" he suggested.

"Nobody goes in there except for you, essentially."

[Amber]

"Huh... That... would probably actually work damn well." Rowena agreed.

"Alright, want to carry it all the way down, or magic it down there?" She asked, curious.

[Colin]

"Using magic on a magical artifact is generally asking for trouble." he warned her.

"Let's just carry it down." he said, picking up one end.
