"I..." She started before sighing and shaking her head.

| He shut the door as she stepped inside, after having carried her luggage in as well.
"Rowena, we have a bit of a guest with us for the next little while." he called to his wife.

| "Don't worry about it." Vincent assured her.
"You can take the large guest bedroom on the third floor." he told her.
"I'll take your things up there. Can I get you anything?" he then asked.

| They made their way to the room, and he carried her things inside.
"If you need anything, let me know. Or Rowena." he told her.
"You're free to get anything you want, do anything, whatever. Just stay out of my lab room, my study, and Rowena's test room and research room." he added.

"And seriously... thank you." She said quietly before giving him a hug.

It was about two weeks later, and she was sitting in the back yard. She was weighing the chances of something, and it didn't take all that long before she quickly dialed Jaden's cell number into her cell and hit call, connecting it with her headphones.
"... I hope he'll answer... but is it really just a good idea to call?" She wondered as she listened to the ring.

| He returned the hug and smiled.
"You're welcome, Desiree." he replied.
"Now, to call everyone back here, so they're not bothering Nakia and Hollie." he added with a chuckle.

The phone rang for 10 seconds, before the machine answered.
"Yeah, whatever, talk when the beep." Jaden's recorded voice said, sounding strange and almost slurred, before the tone went off to indicate the recording for a message had started.

| Once she heard that, she sighed.
"Jaden," she started, sounding far better than the last time she saw him.
"It's me. I want to talk to you, please. I'm at Vincents, in the backyard at the moment. It's just after five, please... come here. I want to talk to you, please... I need to talk to you..." She said, her voice getting quieter at the end as she practically begged him to show up.

| After she'd finished her message to him, Vincent walked out to the yard, and noticed her.
He walked over and sat beside her.
"Hey... how's it going?" he asked.

| Desiree sighed as Vincent sat down and just hung up.
"Trying to get ahold of Jaden." She told him honestly. She hadn't told him what she was going to do yet, so she was sure that statement would confuse him.
"I've been trying to call him for a couple of days now... yet I can't get ahold of him." She added quietly.
"I.. I guess we really are through...."

| He thought for a moment, looking kind of confused.
"Well... you have your reasons for calling him, I guess." he told her, before lightly grasping his chin with his fingers.
"Hmmmmm..." he mumbled.
"You know what? I'll call Sydney and ask her to check up on him." he told her.
"Nobody's seen or heard anything from him these past 2 weeks, honestly." he informed the woman.
"And I mean nobody. He's bailed on 2 shows he was supposed to do for Kalin, and won't return her calls at all... and nobody else has even spoken or heard from him... not even Kaia or Sydney." he went on.
"So... this seems like a situation where Sydney should barge into that suite and see what's happening once and for all." he decided.

| Desiree was silent before getting to her efet and shoving her phone into her pocket.
"I'll go. I'm the one that caused this... ok, not exactly, but you know what I mean. I'll go." She said before vanishing.
She appeared just outside of the door to the suite and knocked, figuring she would try that first. If he didn't answer, she still had her key in.

| Vincent just sighed as she vanished.
"Here's hoping it goes well..." he said to himself.
There was silence as she knocked. She heard nothing at all from inside the apartment.
