[Amber]

"Huh? Oh yeah. Definitely." Kalin said as she hugged him.

"ASide from the bit of shit I was handed, yeah, it's been alright." She added with a small smile.

"Anyway, let's go get ready to go."

[Colin]

He just smiled and lifted her up in his arms.

"You've had a lot of exercise in the pool... -I'll- do the walking now." he told her.

[Amber]

Kalin just chuckled.

"Yes Master." She said with a chuckle as she just wrapped arms around his neck to hold on.

[Colin]

He kissed her on her lips, before starting to carry her up the stairs.

Leo groaned as he got up out of the bed that he and Nakia shared at Vincent's. They were visiting him, and he felt fine when he had gone to bed that night.

But now? Now he felt weird... almost drained, and a little sick.

"Ugh..." he grunted, as he brought a hand to the side of his head.

[Amber]

Nakia looked over. She'd been changing her shirt when he awoke.

"Hey, Leo, what's wrong?" She asked.

[Colin]

"I... I dunno." he replied.

"I just feel... off, somehow." he continued.

"Slight headache... stomach's kinda queasy... no energy at all..." he described his symptoms, before laying back down again... and not of his own accord. It was due to severe lack of energy.

[Amber]

Nakia pulled her shirt down and made her way over to check on him.

"Huh, I wonder if you're coming down with something." She commented.

"I'm going to go talk to Dad, see if he can shed any light on this." She added before giving him a quick kiss on the forehead and heading out to find her father.

She found him easily enough, sitting in the den.

"Hey, Leo's not feeling the best, do you know if there's anything going around, lately?" She asked him as she sat next to him.

[Colin]

He nodded.

"All right Nakia." he replied quietly.

Vincent was watching the news, and quirked an eyebrow up when she asked her question, before muting the television.

"Leo's getting sick?" he asked.

"What are his symptoms...?" he then asked, almost sounding a little suspicious.

[Amber]

"Yeah, he is." Nakia said before relaying what she had been told.

[Colin]

He gulped a little, before looking to the television and unmuting it.

"-and there you have it folks." the news anchor said.

"Millions across the very continent have been afflicted with this strange condition. All the patients have apparently been suffering from headaches, nausea, and a complete lack of energy. More on this as it develops." they added.

[Amber]

Nakia paled a bit.

"The hell is the cause...?" She wondered.

"Is this seriously just a freak bug, or is there something more behind it?" She asked, knowing that Vincent wouldn't be able to answer that.

[Colin]

"I wish I knew." he replied.

"So far, it seems like it's minor... sort of like a new strain of the common cold or flu." he told her.

"However, the sheer number of people that have seemed to come down with this overnight is what's worrisome."

[Amber]

Nakia sighed.

"Agreed. It is worrisome, and rather alarming." She said.

"I don't know what to think about this..." She told him before sighing.

"Get ahold of Aunt Hollie, I'm going to head out and see if I can find any information." She said before getting to her feet.

[Colin]

He looked to her and nodded.

"Yeah, I'll get right on that." he said to her.

"And Nakia... be careful out there." he continued.

"So far it's only been humans that have been affected, but we don't know if, or when, it will affect magi and other creatures."

[Amber]

Nakia nodded.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful. Just keep an eye on Leo for me, please." She said before vanishing in a bubble, leaving her father alone with the news report.
