| He nodded and followed her out of the room, waving to the kids as best as he could.
-The next day-
Leo was home... alone... as usual. As he had no school today, the entire day would be devoted to volunteer work at the day-care. Nakia had told him she was going to pick him up that morning, so he made sure he was up in time.
And now he sat, in his living room, waiting for her to arrive, with a microwave that looked to be brand-spanking new, but was actually the one he repaired.

| About ten minutes later, there was a knock on the front door. She was, of course, early. She had told him that she would be there for ten, and it was now only 9.3o, and he was just leisurely watching some TV before he was picked up.

| He heard the door, and walked over to it.
"Hi Nakia!" he greeted her with a smile.
"You have time for anything to eat, or did you already have breakfast?" he asked.
Nakia would then smell the aroma of bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, and hashbrowns in the house.

| Nakia sighed slightly.
"I actually showed up early because I was planning on inviting you out to breakfast." She told him honestly.

| He blinked, before blushing somewhat.
"This is kind of embarrassing..." he said.
"I... was kind of hoping you'd be early so I could treat you to some homemade breakfast..." he admitted.

"Well, since we both had breakfast in mind, I won't say no to you." she told him honestly.
"Considering the fact that I didn't eat after getting up." She added.

| He smiled, before looking concerned.
"Then, come in, come in." he said.
"You really need to eat before going to work." he told her, before stepping out of the way.

| "Yes mother." Nakia said with a laugh as she made her way inside.
"Smells good. Seems you're actuall competent in the kitchen, unlike most boys your age." She added.

| He bit back a chuckle when she called him 'mother', and followed her inside.
"Well.... I've learned to be good in the kitchen." he said.
"With Mom and Dad gone for so long, I've had to learn how to cook." he clarified.
"Microwave stuff and instant foods are only good for so long..."

"I remember how I used to eat things like that all the time when they were introduced." She added with a chuckle.
"Anyway, what did you make up, anyway?" She asked as she kicked off her shoes.

| "Well... I made a batch of scrambled eggs, some bacon, some sausage, some pancakes, some toast, and a bunch of hash browns." he told her with a bit of pride to his voice.
"Did pretty good, too." he added, as they walked to the kitchen and she saw the entire spread.

| "Heh, been awhile since I had breakfast that wasn't made by me." She said with a chuckle.
"Thanks though, that was actually rather sweet." She added before giving him a one-armed hug.

| He face turned a definite red when she hugged him, but he shook it off quickly, and nodded.
"Well, now's your chance to just sit back and enjoy it." he told her.
"Oh yeah, do you drink milk, juice, coffee, or tea?" he then asked.

"Go ahead and serve yourself. I guarantee there's plenty."
