| When the door opened, Kalin felt her world going dark, and far quicker than when she did anything with Rene.
"Li---Lindsay..." She said quietly as he entered. Her attacked just put more pressure on her through at that time though.

| Lindsay gritted his teeth and dug his feet into the floor.
He then launched himself at Kalin's tormentor, knocking him off of her, and sending the both of them crashing into a corner to fight it out.

| When he was knocked off of her, Kalin took the chance and tried to breathe, but was having a hard time.

| The fight was over in... short time, thanks to Lindsay's physical prowess, but when he looked over to Kalin, he felt himself panic a little.
"Kalin!" he exclaimed as he ran to her and checked her over.
"Kalin, breathe..." he said quietly, as he gently pushed down on her chest, and let it rise again, before repeating the process to get her lungs working steadily again.
He checked her throat to see if it was collapsed as well, and, as far as he could tell, it was fine.

| By the time that Lindsay was checking her over, Kalin had ended up passing out.
As Lindsay checked her over, and tried to get her lungs to work on their own, he was successful, but it still had the impression that it could all give out suddenly. She would be fine, but it probably would be a good idea to have her checked over.

| He sighed, before he and Kalin vanished in a burst of flames.
-Some time later-
When Kalin awoke, she would find herself in another bed. This time is was the bed than she and Rene shared in the house they lived in... with Rene looking over her.
"Hey babe..." he said in a quiet tone.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
Her wounds had been dressed and taken care of, she'd been put in clean bed clothing, she'd been cleaned up from the filthy apartment, and had several bandages over her.

| Kalin brought a hand to her face before carefully sitting up and looking around.
"I.. I... What...?" she asked, obviously confused for a moment before she heard Rene.
She looked over at him and sighed.
"I... I'm alright... I think." She answered honestly.
"I have a massive headache though, and I think that's the worst of it."

| "You're lucky then." Rene replied as he smiled some.
He then handed her a glass of water and a couple of pills.
"Take these for the headache." he told her.
"It could have been a lot worse, if Lindsay hadn't got to you in time." he added.

| Kalin accepted what he handed her and quickly downed them. Granted, she nearly choked on it, but managed to get it down without any complications.
"Where is he? I'll have to thank him, then." She said after a moment.

| He nodded and got up.
"I'll go get him, then." he said as he left the room.
About a minute later, Lindsay entered the room.
"Hey... you alright?" he asked her as he made his way to her.

| Kalin looked up as Lindsay walked in and smiled slightly.
"Yeah, thanks Lindsay." She said before getting to her feet, despite the fact that she probably shouldn't have.
"It's thanks to you that I'm alive." She added before giving him a hug.

| Lindsay was surprised by the hug, but he returned it.
"Hey, no problem." he replied.
"I'm just glad I got there in time." he added.

"Now, I have to ask... how did you figure out where I was?" she asked

| Lindsay sighed and laughed nervously, before answering.
"Well... I heard the movement under the floor boards, and thought to check the underground escape tunnel you told me about." he started.
"I managed to catch a glimpse of who took you, and on a hunch, I went back to your computer and... well... hacked into your system." he admitted.
"I searched your case files for pictures, and found someone that looked similar to him. I found it. Matthew Pheldar. He was convicted in a trial you were involved in, and ended up committing suicide in prison. His remaining family was his brother, Dennis." he explained.
"Then I essentially 411'd him, and found his address. I then teleported there... just in time, I might add."

| "Obviously I need to increase the security on my computer if someone as slow as you could get in." Kalin said with a sigh.
"Unless, of course, you're not as stupid as you use to be."
