Event Forum

Kinda simple really, to the point where I dunno if people will think it necessary or not, but:

Basically, a forum I used to be on, events would have their own forum, whether they were made by GMs/Mods, or just normal players.. By event forum, I don't mean the ones we get for the recent Gignesthai festival etc but just something like....

Link of Doom - Click me or I'll steal your socks!

That way, if someone wanted to make, for example, an avatar contest, it could go there instead of in their lounge thread, or if they wanted to make an art contest, it could go there..
Then people will be able to see easily any events people are holding. o\

Eh, I'm kind of on the fence about this one. It would be nice, especially for my shop (xD;; I've been wondering where I'd put an event thread...) but... I dunno. Seems like a waste of a forum, really. I doubt it would be used much.

That's why I wasn't sure about suggesting it - When people actually WANT to make an event, it's an awesomely useful thing, but when people don't want to make one, it's negligible...
Maybe it could be a sub-forum instead?

I thought maybe the News & Announcements one, but not suuuure... Should've thought about it more.
And could do \o/ Then again, the Fun & Games one is probably more popular.. Never go in there myself any more though lol

I just thought of it 'cos the amount of times I've thought of an event, and been put off by the fact that the forum is really crowded as it is, or if it was in my lounge thread, well.. My lounge thread is dead xD Thought it'd be nice to see more events around. o\

Yeahhh, good point. Even if it's slow at first, events might attract more people and make them stay longer so it'd be... not slow.

That's kinda easy, you just need their IP and...

Uh, anyway, this could be a nice idea. I mean, some events can easily be placed inside already-existing forums (art contest => art forum, avatar contest => the runway, etc.), but some things are just not that easy to place, or receive little attention because they are left in a cluttered forum and get lost in it.

Dunno where it could be placed though?
Maybe it could be a subforum of the City Square? Since that forum is about anything related to Midorea...

I guess it'd depend on the actual events...
Maybe someone would make one completely un-related to Midorea xD And then it wouldn't make sense in the Midorea-only forum...
Not sure when anyone would make an event like that though...

But... the Community Centre isn't Midorea only related... I mean it's like... if its an event for the community, which it probably is, then technically it's a community event and thus belongs in the community centre.
