All right, thread here!

So Black Star and Kid ( obviously I'm Black Star and you're Kid ). Do you double? I have a tendency to hop all around with characters so don't be surprised if Soul or Liz or Maka end up showing up.

As for the rp... I'm a huge sucker for hurt/comfort. Anything that starts with one of them being vulnerable and the other stumbling upon it would be awesome XP

Haha I just happened to see this before I got your message I was like O.o mm Soul eater! BUT anyway as for the plot I don't mind how we start. :3 I might be rusty because I've never roleplayed with Kid before but I wanna try it. :3

You can start however you like with a list intro or whatever I dunno how you wanna do it however which way :d. Don't worry I have a tendency to bring in character's too hahah xD Character hopping FTW! Oh yeah and about doubling I do sometimes, I just don't like to double right off the bat.

The constant ticking of the clock kept Black Star awake. It didn't help that his mind was still on overdrive after their last fight - who would have ever thought that an immortal would have been so hard to kill? - and every little stimulus was keeping him away from precious sleep. His body was craved it and protested when he sat up, but laying around in bed wasn't going to accomplish anything.

He took stock of himself as he started to dress quietly. His right forearm ached and there were three deep gashes that ripped down it from where he blocked the monster's claws. There was a tightness in his chest from a fractured rib, but beyond that the rest of the injuries were just bumps and bruises. Just give me a few days and I'll be back on top, Black Star thought idly as he pulled his shirt on.

Black Star made sure to stay silent as he left the apartment, not wanting to wake Tsubaki up. Once the door of their apartment was shut he sighed, a moment on uncharacteristic depression flickering over him. His wounds weren't that bad, but the same couldn't be said about Patty. The idiotic gun-girl had jump-shifted to try to block an attack on Kid. Idiot! Black Star had been standing right by him; there was no reason anyone else needed to get hurt...

"Ugh, come on." He shook his head and shoved the unpleasant emotions back before starting down the path that led to the city. A few hours to clear his mind was all the assassin needed.

The way Kid saw it was, if he let Patty rest up she would be fine later, he couldn't stand the thought of returning to battle with someone who couldn't even do half of their best. It would make him feel way out of proportion and rather off balance. With a soft sigh the boy looked up at the ceiling he had been pacing under for the last...god who even knows? Pinching his chin thoughtfully the boy frowned immortals were getting more testing as time went on. He ran his hand over the cowlick in his hair disgusted at it's non-proportionality.

After more tasking thoughts Kid turned away from his home giving it one last look before heading on his way. He would have loved to be asleep at the moment, but he couldn't sleep if he didn't know how Black Star and Tsabuki were doing. Though Kid was almost positive they hadn't been hurt too badly by the immortal, but he had been far more concerned for Patty and Liza, and of course himself to pay much attention to the other two...

The assassin froze when he heard the footsteps on the path and took a moment to assess the situation. He was still technically on school grounds and it was highly unlikely that any kishin or witch would be dumb enough to take a stroll through Death City, but Black Star didn't feel like leaving anything up to chance. He drew back into the shadows of the trees lining the walkway and lowered his breathing as he waited for the figure to approach.

One, two... Blue eyes blinked in surprise when he saw Kid step into the light. Black Star immediately forgot his worries and jumped out at him, landing in a squat with his hands on his knees. He looked up at the dark-haired reaper before asking: "What are you doing out here?"

His footsteps were quiet making sure to take equally sized steps out of habit. Kid's hands were pushed into his pockets clenched into tight fists. Jumping back at the sudden voice before him Kid's worried frown deepened for a moment until he realized just who it was. "Oh Black Star," he sighed quietly, "I'm glad to see you're alright though it looks like you have a few cuts." Kid remarked quietly looking over the assassin again. "I was actually looking for you and Tsubaki." Kid murmured running his hand over his cowlick again then placing his hand back into his pocket, "I wanted to make sure you two were okay after the last mission. Patty is recovering." The reaper removed his hands from his pockets, letting them fall loosely at his sides, and stared at Black Star for a moment, "What are you doing out here exactly? Searching for a new stage?"

"As if I'd have to try." He straightened and jammed his own hands into his pockets - the feeling of them just hanging was something he couldn't stand. "Everywhere is a stage when you're someone like me."

Black Star shrugged off the mention of the cuts and chose not to go into the details of the rest of his injuries; there was no point worrying Kid after he had made the trip out here. "I'm fine. No stupid immortal is ever gonna hurt me. And Tsubaki's fine too, just tired." Which was true. The assassin had refused to allow her to switch from the Enchanted Sword mode, practically granting her invulnerability while sucking the energy from him.

"So, uh, how is Patty? You said recovering, but... And how are you?"

[Ashes]

Kid nodded slowly, "Of course not." He chuckled rather absently his mind elsewhere. After a moment he returned his full attention to Black Star he watched the blue-haired boy quietly scanning him up and down thoughtfully. He knew there was more to the injuries, but he decided not dwell into it. "I'm glad to hear Tsubaki is alright," Kid sighed softly blowing some of the white striped strands of hair out of his face, "Patty isn't as breakable as she seems. She'll be alright." As if to enforce what he had said, Kid forced a smile which looked strange on his worried face. "I'm fine. A few cuts here and there..." He murmured his goldish eyes moving to the pavement for a moment before he pulled himself to look up at the assasin again, "Patty took the worst of it." With a soft sigh Kid looker up at the lamp light he had been standing under his face twisting in disgust. "How repulsive. Three light bulbs?" The reaper growled, "People have no sense of symmetry."

"Uh-huh..." Black Star was used to Kid's attention slipping off, especially when he was trying to pretend that everything was fine. A self-defense mechanism or something. Maka had compared it once to his own habit of trying to steal the spotlight but, then, what did Maka know? As if he needed to use some sort of... mechanism to defend himself. Completely wrong.

"I don't know about you but after a fight like that I can't sleep," he said, abruptly changing the subject. "I was gonna go blow some steam off outside of town." It wasn't exactly an invitation but Black Star wasn't sure he wanted Kid to come along. Eh, he could probably use the company, he reasoned.

Kid returned his attention to Black Star even though in the back of his mind he had an awful nagging to remove one of the lightbulbs above him. The thought of being around Black Star for too long rather repulsed Kid. The assassin had a bad habit of being irritating at times. Running his hand over his cowlick again Kid bit his lip thoughtfully debating if he should accompany Black Star. "Mind if I come along?" Kid muttered it felt strange asking that, "I don't see the point in wondering around alone anyway." The frown on his sophisticated features deepened. It felt as though he were at the blue-haired boy's mercy. Despite what he wanted to beleive, Kid needed to get his thoughts off of Patty, and the fact that it was his fault she was hurt his folly had gotten his weapon and his friend hurt.

Black Star gave him a once over before shrugging. "Eh, well, as long as you don't try to steal all the attention off of me," he said after a moment. "I guess you can tag along." He clapped a hand on Kid's shoulder as he walked by him and grinned. "Keep up."

While it was technically classified as part of the city, Black Star's secret hiding place wasn't around any of the shops or clubs that lined the streets. There was a thick stretch of no-man's land that surrounded the city-lines, outside of the protection of Lord Death's soul. The desert started up immediately... but that wasn't where he was going. Not quite.

He led Kid to the rooftop of a small pet shop that skirted the edge of town. It was an unfortunate location and he knew the owner a bit down on his luck because of that. Fortunately for the assassin, though, it meant low security... and easy access to fluffy and furry animals. All it took was a good knock on the latch of the back window and it gave in, allowing both of them to slip inside.

Kid rolled his eyes slightly, but he was glad to see Black Star was doing alright even though he was as annoying as ever. Turning on his heels the boy followed the assasin in silence. Wondering just where he was being taken. Leaving the protection of his father's soul uneased Kid at first especially without Patty or Liz at his side, but he continued after Black Star in silence his hands hanging at his sides.

The pet shop was a shabby place, somewhere Kid wouldn't be if he hadn't been brought here. He frowned slightly looking at the rather run down spot. 'What an unfortunate place for a pet store...' He thought hearing meows and squeaks from inside. Of all places Black Star would lead him Death the Kid had expected somewhere a bit different, but he had no complaints afterall the cocky blue-haired boy was his only companion for now.

"Don't mind the mess," Black Star said cheerfully as he immediately headed toward the cage of his favorite pup, a mostly purebred saint Burmese mountain dog ( the mostly was added because he knew the owner wouldn't be able to afford an actual purebred ). She was bordering a year and, as such, was losing the cuteness that most puppies had. It was looking less and less like she would ever get an owner and, if she was lucky, she would become the shop dog. If she wasn't...

Well, there was no point dwelling on what could or couldn't happen. Too bad there's not enough room at our apartment to keep a pet, he thought idly as he opened the door to her pen. She immediately bounded out and jumped up on Black Star, slamming her paws against his chest. "Whoa!" he said, grinning as he grabbed her paws. "Calm down. Hey Kid!" he shouted, looking back over his shoulder. "Don't be scared. Ziz's a giant baby."

Eyes moving around the shop Kid frowned, it was indeed a mess like Black Star had said, but it wasn't so bad that he wanted to clean it or leave. Turning his head Kid watched Black Star enter the pen of a rather large dog, he recognized the breed almost immediately from the dogs thick coat and large size. Even for a puppy the dog was rather big. For a moment he wondered if this dog was the shop pet, she didn't look like she had or would get an owner anytime soon being so large and all that awful shedding it would do in its older years.

Kid's legs had acted before he could really think about it and he was standing just outside the pen watching Black Star and Ziz play together. Though he didn't mind dogs he prefered kittens only solid colored ones or ones that had perfectly symmetrical marks on them anyway. Watching Black Star and Ziz though did improve his mood by quiet a bit. 'He wont ever grow up.' Kid thought almost in admiration for the assassin.

Ziz was a fairly symmetrical pup - most in her breed were. Her fur was mainly black with her front paws looking like they had been dipped in a tawny brown ink. The front of her chest was bright white and her face had a wide white strip as well, with black ringing her eyes and brown coloring her muzzle.

After the initial over-exuberant greeting she dropped down to all fours. Black Star scratched her behind her ears as she pushed past him. Ignoring Kid's obvious displeasure she walked up to him and jammed her nose up against the palm of his hand.

"Ha." Black Star crouched by her and put an arm around her neck. "Looks like she likes you."
