| Being new can be kind of a strange feeeling; I sympathize. You'll probabdly be able to make friends here pretty quickly though, even considering that the site can be a bit slow-paced at times; this place is full of friendly people, just be sure to post wherever seems most active and someone will gladly oblige you with some friendly conversation.
What, in particular, on the site are you having trouble/confused with, if you don't mind my asking? I'm just checking to see if there's anything I might be able to help you with. I (or pretty much any other experienced user) don't mind helping out a new person wherever possible. Also, you can always PM an admin or a mod if you feel it's something a regular member can't help you with; the staff here, like the users, are very friendly and helpful.
Beyond all that though, I'm always up for making new friends and just generally chatting to kill time; any time I'm on, I'm probaly available to talk to if you'd like.  Although I'm supposed to be finishing a project right now...but let's ignore that, shall we? >_>;
