Egg
Female Hatchling
Female Adult
Stages
Egg : Kaevren at this stage are genderless and usually without names. Rumor has it, though, that their gender can be affected through interacting with your egg. (Hint: males like high heat)
Hatchling : Congratulations, your egg has hatched! They're still a bit wobbly on their feet at this stage, but they're well on their way to becoming adults.

1. Follow all of Midorea's rules and ToS.
2. Do not steal any part of Kaevren Isle (artwork, ideas, names, etc). A lot of work was put into these so please respect that.
3. The rules are subject to change as I see fit.
What are Kaevren?
Kaevren is a species that is a mix of both feline and dragon, and as such have both fur and scales in addition to their wings. They cannot speak, but make a series of chitters and squeaks similar to squirrels and the like. They are very loyal creatures and have been found to be quite intelligent.
Why are there so many more females than males?
Due to the nature of the incubation process and their reptilian DNA, Kaevren are subject to what's called "temperature-dependent sex determination". In this particular species, a certain high temperature is required for the egg to become male. This is a very tricky and unpredictable process, as there is a tiny difference of only a few degrees that change a female into male.
How do I get one?
The easiest way is through flatsales, but sometimes auctions, raffles, and customs will be available.
How long do they take to grow?
Anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on my schedule and how often you RP with them. RPing isn't mandatory by any means; it just tends to result in faster bonding.
Do I have to RP?
Nope, it's not mandatory. However, certain things can only happen through RPing.
How big are Kaevren?
Eggs are roughly the size of a grapefruit, hatchlings are house cat-sized, and adults are the size of your average German Shepard.
How many can I buy?
You are allowed one (1) per flatsale. Buying for a friend is fine, but that counts as your one.
How many can I own?
As many as you'd like!

Due to climate changes, winters have become colder and summers much hotter. Because of this, fewer and fewer males are hatching each year, and when they do it's at the tail-end of Spring and very beginning of Autumn. Females have over-run the territory and have become aggressive in their competition for mates. Males have become more subservient with their new station, though their low-population ratio has begun to cause inbreeding and in turn many eggs are born with soft-shell and die.
This is why the Kaevren Conservation Society has stepped in to do whatever they can to save this species. They hope that you can help, by fostering and caring for young Kaevren and helping to regrow their population.
