o_o
I come from the holy land of GaiaOnline, where the bacon sells and the gold is ... lacking, due to a recent nerf on the MMPORG. /shakes angry fist at Gaia HQ/
So, uh, can someone give me a small-as-you-can-make-it summary on how good this site is comparing it to GaiaOnline -- like, the similarities? The trading system, for e.g? Is there an MMPORG here just like it? o.o Can we open art shops for money? I'm intrigued.

LOL, so I just looked further down the forums, and it turns out we can make art shops. /dances/

But I'd still like to know about the trading system etc. >__>

Welcome to Midorea, Xephira!

Well, first off, Mido is way smaller than Gaia, which can be bad or good, depending of what you like. It's easier to get to know people, and the community (including the staff) is really friendly. Trolls never last long here. But the forums can also become quite slow if people get busy.

We don't have a "marketplace" (i.e automatic trading system), although we have a forum where you can make a thread to buy and sell items. We also have a basic trading system (just click the "Trades" tab at the top of the page), that allows you to select the person with which you want to trade and the items/currency you want to send, etc.

There's no real MMORPG, but we have a battle system, and sometimes there are quests built round it, to get special items and things like that. Right now, you can get 3 kind of dragon horns, if you manage to kill enough dragons.

I guess the easiest place to start would be the Newcomers Help Center, linked in my signature. I tried to include all the tips I could think of in it, as well as an adoption center and a small charity to help newbies start their journey here. And then, if you have any more questions, just ask!

Hope you will have lots of fun with us! Happy
