Equipping a weapon for battle

I bought a sickle for combat but I do not know how to equip it now so that I can use it in combat. I tried going to inventory, check marking the sickle, and clicking use but it does not work.

I also tried clicking avatar and trying to equip it in my right or left hand and it was not there. Help me equip my weapon please :/ Thanks :]

You don't equip your weapon until you get to the battle page. Just select it from the list of weapons and press "attack".

Thanks for the help, i bought a volleyball and that worked just fine!

Though I can not select my sickle from the list... it said i could use it to attack or cut grass so i assume its actually a weapon.

Do I just not meet the requirements? I did not see any requirements on it though.

Ah, it's because Sickles require a level 2 character to use. (and a minimum of 10 strength)
You always have to check the minimum requirements before buying a weapon.
