Ear Layering

im pretty sure this has been mentioned before... and i know that you guys are busy right now with the event, relics, recolours and so on.

but i desperately would like for the ear layer to be sorted out. we have so many beautiful bases available, and the fact we cant unequip the ear layer can ruin it (see my current avatar...)

i really think the ear layer should be unequipable. or better yet, if the ears that come with other bases were moved from the hair accessories layer. then we could use the hair accessories layer as well as using the ears that come with bases.

It'd be nice to have them all in the same layer, but the problem with the ears is that they layer under the hair. So, if the special ears were there, you would only see a little point coming out the side of your hair... >.<

But yeah, I agree that something should be done to take them out when you don't need them... Maybe having some special item that remove them, like for the eyes and hair?

ahhh, i see. =/ thats fair enough then. but even just to simply be able to unequip human ears would solve the problem. or i guess a special item to have "no ears" would work, but ive never understood why you should have to pay to take something off XD

Bah, I guess if you can't unequip it, it's because the system is set to have something selected on that layer. Thus, unless you change it, the system wants a layer for that... layer. So the "no item" item is just an empty layer that takes the place of whatever should be equip there... or something like that... XP

I sorta understand for the eyes and hair, since you can consider that it takes some intervention to remove them (normal people have eyes and hair after all).
Ears... I dunno, I personally don't consider them to be an important visible part of the avatar's anatomy and thus wouldn't mind if it was simply unequipable, but that Cat's choice in the end

haha too true, but either option would solve the problem, so i'd be happy with either. it just seriously bugs me that there is no way of getting round it right now XD

I'd like to see an item similar to No Eyes for all body parts, personally. Removing any part of the body should cost money. xP

I was just about to make a post about this. I wanna dress as a cat, but four ears is really weird and I don't want to see a funny pink thing either =| I'd love to have some way of removing the ear layer.

The problem with that is when a person creates an avatar for the first time, they won't have an ear unless they go to that layer and equip one. (and you know most newbies won't understand how to do that)
I don't want people running around with no ears.

I guess we could have something like the no eyes item for ears?
Maybe offer it as a reward for completing a quest. (or just stick it in the shops)

What base were you talking about though? (I'm assuming your avatar has changed since then)
Usually the base comes with an ear of the same color that automatically unequips the human ear.

nah, it wasnt entranced... i cant actually remember now. it was one of the darker coloured bases, tho.

yea i know that it unequips the human ear if you equip a non-human ear, but i like to play with all the bases without necessarily using any of the extra ears ^^;

but a no ears item in the shops would do just perfik :3

Maybe it was the Saidon base, then. It has ears, but they don't match the base by color.
