Alright, so how many of you watch The Daily show and the Colbert Report? I love them both and I can't wait for saturday to watch this Rally. I with that I could go in person, but we just can't make it happen. I will just have to deal with watching it on TV. I'm so glad to see someone doing something like this after Glenn Beck, because he's was just...I don't know. Of course, I'm not a Glenn Beck fan, I love Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert though. They are hilarious.

Also, if you have never read it, then I recommend I Am America (and So Can You) By Stephen Colbert. It's hilarious!

The Rally To Restore Sanity

The March To Keep Fear Alive

Edit: Oh yeah. The discussion part.

I wanted to know what you guys thought of this? Do you want to watch it? Will you be there? Do you even watch The Daily Show or The Colbert Report? Do you prefer your news given to you in a comedic or serious fashion?

Now, as to the last question. I'm asking how you prefer news delivered, not what you think is a valid form. I listen to NPR in addition to watching The Colbert Report and The Daily Show. I prefer to laugh, but they are more politically based and I like to know more then what is provided humorously by these shows.[/center]

I TOTALLY WANTED TO GO TO THE KEEP FEAR ALIVE ONE!

And I love it when my news is entertaining. I can't stand watching the local news any more, because it's much too depressing.

xD I wanted to go to Rally to Restore Sanity!
I started watching some of the videos, and found someone with a giant bunny from the webcomic, and laughed so hard.
I am a bigger fan of The Daily Show, but Colbert makes me laugh too. ^.^

I like reading news from various sources. I tend only to pay attention to international news, though if a local article catches my attention, I will read it. I just don't like having my time wasted with stories about kittens stuck in trees.

You get kittens in trees? LUCKY!

We get two-year-olds killed in drive-by shootings. Then again, I'm near Philadelphia, so there's always news about some person getting shot.

The two-year-old story was what made me stop watching the news, though.

Actually, it was a combined rally. It ended up being called "The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear". I was not able to go, but I did watch it on the television.

It's was pretty funny, I have to say. I don't know what the real point of it was, except to entertain you though. That being said, my favorite part was at the end. John Stewart just talked to people and explained what his intent of the Rally had been.

On a side note, though, Ozzy Osbourn cannot sing anymore.

I didn't take part in this, nor did I care to. But I came across this little gem. http://sailorptah.deviantart.com/art/FEAR-vs-SANITY-180089854

I really, really wish that I could see that link. Whatever it leads to will not load in google chrome or internet explorer 7 though. -pouts- I bet it's funny to.

What is it called? Maybe I can just go find it myself.

Oh man, that's hilarious! That's more or less how it went. XD At least the skit part of it. Steven Colbert was killed by the crowds chanting, as was his giant fear puppet. It was fantastic.

I know that makes little sense unless you saw it.

That you for linking that to me though. That made me giggle.

Thank you very much.

I know you said you are not interested in the Rally. I would suggest, though, that if you don't watch any other part of it, watch the last think that John Stewart said at the end.

This is the youtube link to only that part of the rally.
