A newbie with many questions

I am brand spanking new to Midorea and don't have a clue where to earn money.

Also, how do I change my character's appearance (ie eyes, mouth, skin colour, etc)?

Can you tell how the race system works? I have no clue what it is.

Any other sage advice you have would be much appreciated.

You get money by posting on the forum, or battling in the battle system.

You can change your character appearance by going to the Avatar page (click "Avatar" in the tabs at the top of the page). Skin are under base, and everything else, well, is under their respective tab.

The races only gives you certain characteristics when creating a character (+/- to certain skills and stats).
You can see a complete list of the races in the Newcomers Help Center linked in my signature, which also has information about pretty much everything on Midorea.

That's odd; mine works fine. Maybe you have an old version? (I know nothing about these things.)

Whenever you hover over the words while dressing your avatar, the cursor will turn into the I-looking shape, but you can still click them as links.
