I tried to go on the monster battles and I got that..

Hm, weird...

Did you change zone (play with the Explore tab at the top of the page)?

I got that when I was exploring... it happened in the event when you went to an empty section where you didn't need any monsters or drops.

Yup, that's what I thought.
I'd suggest staying in the Great Gated City for now. I'm not sure what will happen with the other zones, and only a few of them have monsters in them anyway.
