Rat quest not working <- Take a look here Cat!

So, last night I did the first rat quest - the one to kill ten rats - and it worked fine.

I got on today, killed my twelve (fourteen, in fact) and I can't collect my item. The little button to click isn't showing up. I checked for the ten quest, and it's not showing up there either.

Unsure if it's just me, or if anyone else is having this problem, but I'd really like my pendant xD

Upon killing twenty-seven total rats, I got the pendant. Was the number needed to get the items changed, while the quest text was not?

When you exchanged with her, did the button say "Give FeiYen 27 rats" or whatever? The number on that button is the number of required kills. I wasn't informed of a change, so I don't know.

Huh. Now that I think about it, Ace has a point. When I was battling for those items I just thought that "a watched pot never boils" applied to it. Guess I'm just stupid.

I know I got some problem with it... I did the quest a first time, got both items alright, then I returned killing some rats, and it wouldn't show the little button. So I returned killing a few more rats (12 or so), and when I came back, it worked.
I figured I had forgotten to talk to the old lady after finishing the quest the first time, or something like that, and it had messed up with the numbers...

I recently noticed that the guy you fight boars for had no dialogue any more. So being curious, I cycled through all of the cities, checking the NPCs. When I found the old woman, I was able to click on the "Killed 10 rats" and so got another shoulder cape.

@Maeve And yes it did have some messages with loads of numbers and strings.

I dunno if it's broken or something but I'm curious what I should do with my extra item. I'm sure that I shouldn't have it but I don't just want to delete it. Would it be acceptable to donate it to another player who needs one or just sell it for a low / usual price?

The boars quest was changed so that you could only make it once, I think. I mean, otherwise you would get tons of tickets, but since they have no use except allowing you to travel to Xing Huo, they are kinda useless.

As for the other cape you got, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have given you one if you had not killed enough rats. Technically, you should be able to get one for every 10 rats you killed (when it's working correctly ), so there's no problem with getting an extra one. If you have not killed 10 rats however... <.<'

It's fine... the picture, I mean.
I've gotten similar error before, although they are probably not that important. I mean, you still completed the quest and got an item and all.

I'll tell Cat to take a look at this though ^^

Yeah, coding is like that sometimes. Although I doubt if it's anything to serious. It is possible to hide errors from showing, although I don't remember how. Some IT student I am.
