| I just went on DA and got a trojan, this happened to me lat night as well.. I'm currently scanning my computer so I'm on the laptop right now. DX
I think it is caused by an ad on the site. Has anyone else had this problem?

| Trojans are not the virus they once were. . . sure they are a bunch of them going around still just most people dont even notice cause virus scanners and protectors just take care of them. However most of the trojan viruses are nothing to worry about much really.
Just scan your comp and what not and you should be fine. All they really do is eat up space but they are nothing like what they used to be. Unless you have a really old and slow comp XD

I got all upset for nothing then, but seriously that scared me. >.>
And also my computer is almost 2 years old (got it Christmas of 06')
I hope it's ok...
And also, I thought trojans hijacked computers and stole all their info?

| They can and that why would should get rid of them. One thing you can do is get. . . >_> crap I forgot what it was called. . . get a fire wall XD and you can block it.
Most of the trojans that are still around just eat up space. . . almost like a worm but not exactly.

| Yes most of the files are gone.. AVG got it thankfully. XD
I have windows firewall, and something else.. I wonder what the best firewall is. *hopes whatever it is is free*
Oh, ok. I though worms ate the files though? I seriously need to read up on this kind of stuff... Wikipedia just isn't doing it for me.

| I wish it would, but it won't go away. :[
I've disconnected my computer from the internet and scanned it 3 times with AVG, all of which said that they did not find any infections, then a warning saying they found an infection pops up, so I press heal and it says it can't be healed. :/
though I think that message had been there a while cause I had to leave like at 12pm, so avg probably got it while I was gone..
-shrugs- I hope it can fix itself...

| I found out when a sheild image in the lower right hand corner appeard, and it said "You Computer is Infected!"
and the searches I dont think came up with anything >.>
You should be able to still get on the internet. Just don't email anyone, that's a way you can spread the virus, no Idea about pming on any forum sites though >.>

I don't think the would know, it's a pretty big site, it'd be hard to figure out possibly who did it, unless people knew >.>
