I've been reading since... well, at leat four years old. I started with "Go Dog Go" and now I'm rereading the Redwall series. That's my current goal, and a majority of my fifty will most likely be Redwall books.

Lord of the Rings is going to take up so much of my time this summer xD

I don't think I have a favorite genre. I either like the book or I don't, but I have been leaning towards fantasy through out my years. I think the book that got me going was "Into the Land of the Unicorns" and I still the the series (THE SERIES IS COMING OUT WITH A FOURTH BOOK Happy Happy Happy Happy)
I'm 19 and I got the book when I was in fourth grade a believe.

What are your top 5 favorite books?

awww man. i dont think i could ever manage this. i'd probably struggle to even give myself a month for each book, nevermind well - roughly a week to get 50 into a year, huh?

plus i disadvantage myself, cos i absolutely love huge books hahaha. XD

this is a pretty sweet idea tho, and to be honest i MIGHT try and see if i could handle one a week over summer... since im gonna have much free time hahaha. :P

Ugh, I don't read enough now... Duh
Need to start doing it more often, like a bunch of other things.
Chances are I won't be able to read through 50 books, but maybe returning to college will also help. College books count as books, right? Happy

Start Date: June 27, 2010
End Date: June 27, 2011

~ NOW READING ~
  • Drawing The Head And Hands, by Andrew Loomis -> 40% read, need to practice before I go further
  • Figure Drawing For All It's Worth, by Andrew Loomis -> 25% read, need to practice before I go further

~ FINISHED ~
  1. The Lost Symbol, by Dan Brown
  2. Lestat, le Vampire (f.v. The Vampire Lestat), by Anne Rice
  3. La Reine des damnés (f.v. The Queen of the Damned), by Anne Rice
  4. Le voleur de corps (f.v. The Tale of the Body Thief), by Anne Rice
  5. Memnoch le démon (f.v. Memnoch the Devil), by Anne Rice
  6. Twilight (1), by Stephenie Meyer
  7. Twilight (2), by Stephenie Meyer
  8. Twilight (3), by Stephenie Meyer
  9. Twilight (4), by Stephenie Meyer

~ NOT COUNTING ~
Some books that I've read but won't count for the challenge. Most of them are French or European comics, and I'm guessing most of them haven't been translated in English, but just ask if you'd like more info about them.

  • Anges 1&2, by Dieter and O.G.Boiscommun
  • Okko, Cycle de l'eau I&II, Cycle de la terre I, by Hub
  • Les Technopères 1-5, by Jodorowsky, Janjetov and Beltran
  • Peter Pan 1&8, by Loisel (comics loosely based on the novel written by J.M. Barrie)

Have you read "East" before AnaTolia?

If you haven't, I hope you like it (: It's one of my favorites

I LOVED East! It's just one of those books that slipped my mind for a bit. My second cousin got it for me for christmas one year, and I devoured it!

I already read it...
And I loved it!
There is also another book similar (a little bit) to East; Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow.
I read Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow first and then I read East. But, I must say, East is better.

Do you have any suggestions for books with a fairy tale twist?

I liked Mira Mirror by Mette Ivie Harrison and I remember liking Singer by Jean Thesman but I couldn't tell you what it is about now @@

I'm not sure if they're really "twisty"

One book that I loooooove is called The Foretelling by Alice Hoffman. Not twisty but wonderful. And Keyla can back me up on that one (:

Mira Mirror and Singer looks interesting...
I might be reading them both during the summer. I adore books like those, do you know any more?
Books that I have read that are like these would be;

Bouncy Heart Winter's Child
Bouncy Heart The Swan Kingdom
Bouncy Heart Daughter of the Flames (kinda...)
Bouncy Heart Aria of the Sea

Actually, all of these are in my list. There are probably more, but I would have to dig in my notebooks for my other list...

EDIT :: Book Update ~

Now Reading :: The Amaranth Enchantment
Just Read :: Fire in the Heart
Going to Read Next :: Life of Pi
