| Name: Loner
Age: 15
Description: Tall, muscular; black hair, eyes that change colour based on his emotions. Speaks with a soft and rather cultured English accent. Two pictures: http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc334/makzii/Loner.jpg and http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc334/makzii/Loner1.jpg.
Overall, he looks slightly imposing, but also confident, intelligent, and calm.
Background: Loner was abused for several years by parents who both have multiple addictions and a serious hate for each other and him. Though his parents are both famous, they've always managed to keep him and their addictions secret from the rest of the world. His move from England to Canada as a young child of four didn't make things much better. (His abuse made him anti-social, causing him to reject company and retain his accent years after leaving England.) He spent most of his spare time on the streets, where his habit of avoiding company earned him the street name Loner, the only name he's ever known. Having learned to hide his emotions, the only thing people can tell is that he's someone who's gone through way more than he deserves.

| Name: Haylee
Age: 15
Description: Just over average height w/ very little meat on her bones; a light brown hair color with lighter bangs, and hazel eyes. Her voice blends into the background, and as usual, so does she. Ref?::
http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/tt112/Gonzee/AREPEE.jpg
She normally looks pretty relaxed, but always like she's thinking hard on something.
Background: Haylee has had perhaps one of the most normal lives a kid could have; a single mother, okay friends, a few broken bones (mainly fingers & one collar bone), and she's lived in the same small house for as long as she can remember. She's always been a soft spoken, go-with-the-flow kind of girl. Recently, Haylee's mother went to work, and didn't come home when she was supposed to. In fact, her mother has still yet to return. It's been a few days since she left, so Haylee's been left to fare on her own.
She's a good girl, really, so she hasn't done anything too irrational yet.

| It's all right, just wondering ^^ I'll start us off.
-------------
Loner sighed gently as the biology teacher turned away. They argued frequently - Loner argued with all his teachers - and sometimes it got nasty. Occasionally, the teachers hit a nerve, and Loner would refuse to tell them why some comments hurt so much.
'You have a project to do in pairs,' the teacher said. 'You need to pick one disease from the list provided, and discuss symptoms, progression, treatment, and prognosis. You're going to have to do this outside of school time, because we've got too much to get through before your unit test. I'll draw names out of a hat from the attendance list...'
Several names later, the teacher picked up a piece of paper and unfolded it. 'Loner. You're going to be working with...' Loner bit his inner lip surreptitiously, 'Haylee.'

| Haylee had been "resting her eyes" when she heard her name, and her head flew up immediately. She looked around the room, blinking groggily, until she found the teacher glancing between herself and Loner. I really need to start paying attention... she thought to herself.

Btw, are they sitting next to each other or are they ... not? xD

| (Hm...A few rows apart, I think ^^)
Loner glanced back at the girl. He didn't think this would go well. Everyone in school viewed him as a rebellious, anti-social, tempermental young man, who wasn't worth the effort speaking to, because if he didn't actively ignore you - which happened when he was in a good mood - he gave a sarcastic response that could sting if he was in a bad mood. Sometimes, he wouldn't even answer, but simply glare at anyone who dared to approach. On those days, everyone walked on eggshells, scared that they'd get a nasty quip if they said anything or even looked at him.
Loner turned his gaze foreword again, then looked up at the ceiling. Let her make the first move, he figured. He put no effort into social interaction; there had never seemed to be a point. People had never taken the time to get to know him as a child; why should things change now?

| Sighing, Haylee rubbed at her eyes in an attempt to rid the sleepiness, but had no such avail. She wondered how this would work; she knew Loner wasn't one for talking much, but she also knew that, when he did, it normally wasn't very nice. I guess I'll just have to be careful with what I say.
The teacher explained the project again briefly, then sped through other topics in slow motion, it seemed to Haylee. She didn't know; she fell asleep again - er, rested her eyes - for about three quarters of the rest of the class. The bell rang, causing Haylee to jump and start putting her things away. Remembering something about partners and Loner, she waited until people sped out of the room to talk to him. Sitting down in the desk next to his, she sat with good posture and looked at the floor, glancing at him every few seconds.
"Yo," she said, twirling her hair. There was a false sense of calmness and confidence sitting on the word.

| Loner tensed imperceptibly when Haylee sat next to him. He nodded once at her greeting and looked at the sheet they'd been handed for the project. Doing leukaemia sounded promising to him.

| ((First of all, I would have posted earlier, but my friend was here and hogging the laptop. xD Apologies~!))
Haylee looked at him quickly before drifting her eyes towards the paper in front of him.
"So... What exactly are we supposed to be doing?" she asked him, looking at the paper with a slightly confused look on her face. Most people knew that she dozed during class, but perhaps Loner didn't. She found herself embarrassed from being so clueless as to what the assignment was.

| (That's okay ^^ Nice to have you back!)
'We're supposed to look though the diseases on this list, contract one of them, and travel around the country to different elementary schools inspiring children with our stories,' Loner said, hardly paying attention to her. He circled leukaemia and re-read the instructions at the top of the sheet.

| ((Thanks... :3 I'll try to be on more often. Gahh...))
Haylee looked at Loner, laughed once, and sighed. While sarcastic, she had to admit it was kind of funny. Though, of course, she was still clueless as to what the assignment was... Oh well, she thought.
"Y'know," she said, "If I don't know what we're supposed to do, there isn't much I can do." She propped her elbow up on the desk and rested her cheek in her palm, smirking at him.

| 'I know,' Loner said calmly. Perhaps normally he would have told her what it was so that he could leave her to her own devices, but today wasn't a good day at all.

| Haylee furrowed her eyebrows in question.
"So, what? You're going to do all the work, while, of course, I'm getting just as good a grade as you?" she joked. "Oh, gosh... The bell's going to ring in a few minutes for our next class. Did I get one of those sheets?..." She looked around the room and found one next to her desk on the floor. Must've bumped it off. She stepped over the chairs, picked it up, and stuffed it in her bag.
"Leukemia, right?" she mumbled, snatching Loner's writing utensil to quickly write it on her hand. She handed it back and smiled innocently.

| (Writing on your hand with a pencil? :P I think pens work better for that)
'Put the presentation together,' Loner said. 'I can get the information.' He stood up, packing his things away.
