| ... I just spent all my silver on a Musical Flute, and while I can see it in my inventory, I am not able to see it on my drop-down list of weapons in battle. HELP!!

| You must be level 4 & above to use it and your class must be a bard. You also must have at least 10 dexterity, 5 intelligence & 5 wisdom.

| Oh for the love of...
I CANNOT BELIEVE I WASTED ALL MY SILVER ON THAT.
Needless to say I am now very disgruntled.
(I'm a Bard, I did notice that. Just not the Level 4 requirement..)

| I suppose... but it seems I keep only earning enough from each battle to heal myself or buy a repair hammer.
Is there some kind of trick or knack to this that I'm missing?

| yes. start your character with good stats - you know when you create them, you can re-roll the stats that you start with? well, you want to get your strength as high out of 20 as you can. same goes for everything else, but if your strength is quite low, each battle is going to take more turns - which means more oppurtunity for them to hit you = more silver spent healing, and more turns taken to kill the enemy = more silver spent on repair hammers.
does that make sense? :S

| I almost picked Fighter... but ... it sounded so... blah. Like the one everyone would pick. Wait, Bard is best or Fighter?
*sigh*
So, if I create a new character, will all my Forging level and Experience be lost?
I should start all over?
I'll be reading that guide; thanks Maeve + ecco. ^-^

| Yup, everything will be lost.
Though, by picking the good tribe/element, you can get a pretty good forging level (3 or 4, I think).
And yeah, I don't really like the fighter too, but it's normally what I suggest to newbies. It has lots of HP, which means you need to heal less often, and a good defence too. Though, bard or ranger are fine too. I just don't think something like a mage would be good (with only 10HP, you will end up dead quickly).
If you have any other question, just ask ^^

| Well, it has been done.
I've changed my Character, though I kept the Bard the same, seeing as I've already bought the weapon for it. x-x
Okay - I think I am finally getting the hang of this!! Man, I must have had like, only 1 strength before.. now I'm getting in some good hits. ^_^
YAY!!
Thank you, Maeve. ^-^

| Thanks, I am now! It's a blast battling even the Songbird with 83hp (I'm only Lv.2 hehe) and my 35, never would have come this far without your help.
EDIT: Alright everyone, boogie down for me! I just made level 4 and can use that blasted Musical Flute I was complaining about.
