I just got a Bag of Silver from a battle.

What does it do?

Also, if I wear an equipment item on my avatar will I still be able to use it in battle?

The silver bags are extra silver for you. Go into your inventory and select the silver bag. Click on the use tab to open it.

And yes, you can use items your avatar is using in battle. Just be careful to repair it so your avatar doesn't suddenly go without when it breaks.
