| I'm new to this site, all the general blah blah that goes along with that. You will probably see me in the information kiosk more often thatn not. lol! A heads up there because this site is different than a lot of avatar sites I have been on, so there are a lot of features that are new to me. I have to get offline right now. I'll be back on later.

| Welcome to Midorea! ^_^ Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to; we just want you to be comfortable. The Help Center will probably be of some use to you until then though!

| Essentially, I asked you where the bathroom was and I told you "this car is not a cat". When I was gettign the hang of the syntax and sentence structure of Japanese, I made up silly or nonsensical sentences to help me construct useful sentences. I have been teaching myslef because my school no longer offers the class and I was not allowed to take it at the time they offered it due to a conflict in schedules. There are a lot of times i wish I had an instructor fo some sort to help me with questions. Most of the time I use google searches or a Japanese/English forum, but at times I can't keep up with the mixture of kana that is typed. @__@ I have memorized my hiragana and am working on katakana. Now my interest in learning the language may actually come to use. Ray has gotten it confirmed that his orders are that he will be stationed in Okinawa, so I will be accompanying him later on, hopefully, if he ever figures out what paperwork and stuff he needs to fill out, but that all is a ways off. ;__;

| haha i thought kuruma was car, but i couldnt figure it out in a sentence that also had "cat"! i guess now i know why xD
oohhh stationed? what does he do? i assume this is your partner you're referring to?
sorry, so many questions... xD
im actually pretty bad at learning languages... so i find learning the sentence structure quite hard, but hey i managed to learn hiragana faster than everyone else in my class haha... so i guess i have my strengths too ^^ www.japanese-online.com might be able to help you a little, tho i dont know how much you already know .gif)

Oh wow, I thought I was going crazy. XD Though I'm proud of myself for translating it correctly.
However, isn't bathroom toele (katakana)? I learned that sentence as "toele ha doko desu ka?" or "doko ni toele desu ka?" but I guess the ni isn't terribly important.
*has taken three years of Japanese*

| Ray is an aviation mechanic in the Marine Corps. The aircraft he has been assigned to is the CH-46 (a.k.a the Frog). Apparently the aircraft is being phazed out and the Osprey (forget the technical name of it) will take its place. Until then, he has been assigned ot the Frog. I don't know if he'll have to be changing crafts partway through his contract or not, yet. Because of his choice of aviation mechanic, he was either going to be stationed in Myramar (sp?), California or Okinawa, Japan. When he recieved his orders papers they were for Okinawa. And, yes, Ray is my partner. <3
