of all the nights to snow and block the roads, it has to be tonight. if i dont get my applications sent off to uni tomorrow, i stand no chance of getting in this year dammit.

oh well. here's to a year of being a bum, if i cant get into college tomorrow *toasts*

that aside, its rather pretty. glad im not out in it tho. it makes me ill o-o;;

Hope you can still get your application sent in time. I mean, it's one thing to be out of uni because you choose it, but it really sucks if you did everything you could and can't get in because of some weather madness.

well, if that does happen (which its looking like it will) i cant really complain. application has been open since september XD (but to be fair i only decided i really wanted to do it not long before christmas)

Bah, having a year off is not that bad. It can even be kind of nice ^^ It gives you a chance to do something else, learn new things and check if you have made a good choice for your future career.

well im not confident in my artistic abilities at all, and im looking to do animation at uni. if it comes down to having a year out, i will probably get more hours at my job (or find a new one) and in my spare time practice my drawing and such, and teach myself more japanese (since my other aspiration is to teach english in japan for a few years)

haha xD yea there is that. there'll be a lot of time spent on the internet haha... but weirdly, i seem to draw better when im also chatting on forums/instant messengers at the same time. i think its cos it forces me not to rush or something :P works in my favour anyway.


another reason i hate this snow: im worries about our fox ;3; i hope shes ok. poor british wildlife isnt used to this sort of weather! xD

me too, but at the same time im not too bothered by the idea of bumming about for a while. ive always thought i needed a decent time out to just do what i actually want to do. i enjoy the subjects i do at college, but i hate the ammount of work you have to do for it at home. id rather use that time for hobbies!

like.. really out of the blue but i really want to learn some sort of swordfighting. o.o

Yeah, that's what I thought ^^ I think the new intro says something about "making the community better by posting" or something like that.

Having dreams is nice, even if you never get to do everything you want. At least it motivates you to do different things.

yea, it does xD i was kinda pleased with that. its not much use when people join then never open their mouth haha.

ahh, you'd think. i have that annoying combo of dreams but a massive lack of motivation :P its silly.

Yeah. I mean, I've joined a lot of avatar sites, but I was never really active on any of them, except maybe on Gaia for some time. The others I just joined to see what they were like, and I would close/ erase my account if it was possible. I think there should be a way to explore a site and its features before you join for real, so you actually know if you like it and all and don,t need to create a useless account. But I guess a lot of sites actually love to think they have so many members, even if more than half of them are inactive/ mule accounts.

I don't get people who are uber-active for some time on a site and then disappear, only to come back later and say "I forgot about this place".

yea it kinda annoys me how few sites have a "tour" option before you sign up, but oh well. xD

i dont really get that whole "forgetting" thing either. xD their memories must be worse than mine haha~
