hehe yea i think men are definitely harder. muscles are tougher to draw than curves! XD

oh also, the first link isnt working :O forgot to mention before ^^;

They're not so much harder, but like... all of my OCs were female when I started drawing, and on top of that I did a ton of sailor moon fanart, so I never really drew men. It's mostly a matter of practice, when I'm forcing myself to work on.

hehe yea, i suppose thats true im not into muscley men, but i think its good when you can tell that the skinny feminine guy is in fact a dude, without the artist having to go OMG HES MALE OK. XD

I don't like men of DBZ proportions, but some muscles make me quite happy. :D but I'm not a fan of twig-boys, either.

sounds like you like real, sensibley proportioned men! XD i gotta admit, i like skinny guys... thats goes for real life especially... hehe. but there is a limit on just how much they look like a girl, i think :P manga is terrible for that, haha.

I think that's my biggest issue.
More often than not, I tend to avoid manga/anime styled art. I prefer more realistic / semi-realistic art more. But most anime/manga artists I've seen, it's hard to tell the genders apart. If that fits the character, then it's all well and good, but it's always a peeve trying to look for an artist to draw your male ocs and nothing works. xD;;

hehe no i totally understand. diversity, people, diversity! i think a flaw many people have when drawing (myself included, no doubt) is that there is no variety in body shape or even more so, facial structure. again this happens even more so with manga/anime. all the characters have the same faces, just different hairstyles and eye colours. its no good :P

Since I'm more comfortable with the female anatomy, it's not such a big deal to do different body structures. But I like to draw what I find attractive, so lots of the ladies I draw have a bottom-heavy hour-glass shape. But without the 3in waist. @_@;

I love hips. On chicks, anyway. Doesn't look as good on men. <.<

hehe yea definitely, i can see that thats what you like to draw i noticed i have a tendency to draw women that look like myself XD small waist, fairly large boobs and hips, but then i always make the legs really long, which isnt like me OTL *is short* lol.

Oh, that's the other thing I do, too. The legs. I get that they should be shorter, but the longer legs look more aesthetically pleasing on a lot of my ladies. And especially on my men. @A@;;
