Hi, I'm new! My name is Hilari and I just came across this site a few minutes ago! I love avatar sites, but this one just appears to be so epiclly awesome! I'm excited to be here... Only I'm shy of forums so I really wanted to introduce myself and maybe make a few friends or something :P

Please bear with me as I get used to things and help me along with any advice you may have! Thank you so much!

edit~: Alright! After reading over some rules, I'm still confused about a few things, so I thought I'd ask a few specific questions:

1. What is the complete deal on double-posting? Is it allowed, but frowned upon? Is it not allowed except in certain situations? I'm a little confused about that...

2. Do you get gold for editing a post and increasing it's length? (I guess I may actually figure that out after editing this particular post...)

3. And I received a gift box somewhere, but I can't figure out how to open it! Is there a different help thread somewhere besides the ones listed at the top of the website page? Where can I find those.

Ah, well, I guess I could also explore a little more to find out! Thanks in advance for any feedback, though! I will update again if I have any more questions!

I may be new but as to your first question (I come from a forum with similar double posting rules) I believe that double posting is fine in any situation AS LONG AS it relates to whatever the topic is. If you make one post about your favorite frog about in a topic about frogs and then make the second post about your new dishwasher detergent, then that would be an illegal double post since the second post had absolutely nothing to do with whatever the topic was. A more seasoned member would be better to answer that, though. xD

To answer some of your questions:

1) It is generally frowned upon unless you are reviving after a certain period of time. For more specifics look at the site rules.

2) Silver is the currency that you get from posting in the forums, except the games forum. There is where you get copper. Gold comes from donating to the website. For silver, the longer your post the more silver you will get, although it does cap out at a certain number of silver.

3) The gift box is for the winter event that is going on right now. There should be a banner in the forum home that links you to the place.

I think Gladde has answered most of the things you asked for, but I just want to add a little:

1) Unless your thread has fallen of the first page (or has been inactive for a couple weeks or so), it is preferred if you just edit your previous post.

2) Silver caps at 100 per post. So even if you edit your post and add more things and all, the maximum amount of silver you will get for one post is 100. Also remember that if you edit a post and shorten it, for example by taking out a part you no longer need or something, or if a mod erases your post, you will lose some silver.

3) Yeah, you can't open them, just trade them to certain NPCs. Info here.
