| Well, I usually write short stories anyway. But I think my imagination caught the better of me. I can't stop thinking about how I can introduce myself to everyone, so this is my idea of how I came to be in Midorea.
This is right out of my head on my laptop, so there will be some errors and I'd appreciate some critique. I can take it! I promise!
Here goes:
The Maelstrom
The sea raged all around the ship - raising wrathful waves of battering heart that could very well drain a man of all courage. Crew men shouted intelligible things to one another as they scampered head to toe of the caverns and deck.
"Man those lifeboats, men!" The captain called over the harsh winds. All the yellow raincoats scattered and desperately grab hold of something as the ship tilted. I held onto the only rail I saw. I gripped as tight as I could as the gigantic waved loomed over us like a hawk wanting its prey. It crashed down onto the deck and crushed the men to the wood like mere insects and washed them towards the bounty of the sea. The men who were lost were unconscious as friends banded together in hopes of being redeemed from the mighty sea. Lightning signaled only more monstrous waves to the ship as I ran and grabbed hold of the captain's door. Opening it without haste and the waves slamming it shut I gripped the slippery latch; hoping to not be taken by the dreadful waves.
"No! NOO!" A voice groaned over the waves in a cry for help. "Please!! HELP! Someone!" The voice was lost over the roaring sea and soon the ship was swallowed whole by a giant wave. I closed my eyes and held my breath as I prayed for the soul.
--That's when I feel like writing about things I've heard (i.e Oddessy(sp?)) Heh... heh... anyway, here's the second part of it:
Washed Up
The sea was calm at last as seagulls crowed and jarred at each other in the cloudless sky. Only one laid on the shore - one of the entire ship. Alas all others had passed on as one breathing being had washed onto the shoreline. The figure was unconscious as their clothing was tattered and torn - they laid there on the sand in the blazing sun. Before long consciousness had finally sparked the being's body. Those blue eyes opened though the body laid still for a moment in time. Then slowly it pushed itself to a sitting position and stared in disbelief at the landscape before them.
"Where... where am I?" The voice murmured, "What... what happened?" The female glanced all around; even behind her for anything at all. Nothing was out on the open water. "Am I... dreaming?" She asked herself before turning her gaze towards the scenery once more. She may have been seeing things, but it looked like some sort of far off castle. Her vision was starting to get hazy from the sun's heat. She pushed herself off the sand and balanced on her feet. She wobbled towards this strange new world.
I would grandly appreciate comments
