Question/Concern About the Gift Shop

Everytime I enter the gift shop to make a purchase, it takes A LOT of my Ice Shards away and then tells me I don't have enough to make the purchase. What can I do? I am sure I have lost more than HALF the shards I have earned, just by entering the shop. HELP!!

Soo.. When you enter the gift shop it takes away your ice shards? Are you sure your not pressing the 'buy" button more then once, and that the value you enter into the box is not more then 1?

Oh aye.
I enter the Gift Shop via the SHOPS option above(between FORUM and EXPLORE), click the lil box(after which a "1" appears), and select buy. The first time I did this I had 150 shards, and it told me I didn't have enough.
When I looked at my amount of shards, right after that, I had less than half of what I started out with.
I'll try again tho.
