The New Layout
That's right. Midorea has a new layout! After weeks of work it is finally complete.
Please post your feedback or any glitches you may encounter in this thread.

Something you might not have noticed with the new layout is the fact that the avatar page now works in Opera & Google Chrome.


Base Update
The Midorea bases have been updated. Some minor & major changes have been done to them. Please note that for the time being some items may not fit. This problem will be fixed shortly.

Press F5 if the old bases are being displayed.

*Edit: I forgot to mention that Heyy13 pixeled the chest/abdomen on the male base. I just edited it a little bit..

Great work on the layout and bases Cat!

I really like the new color scheme. The only thing bugging me with it is the little bit of unused space on the right side, which makes it larger and therefore gives me a scrolling bar at the bottom... But it's not really important

I love the new layout.
The colors, the set up. Wonderfully done ^^

I think the only thing that is bothering me is the bar just below the avatar and header. The large words seem kind of cramped in the space that they are using. Maybe open it up or set them apart from the bar?

And you also know about the IE problems. D:< *stabs it* (Yet I'm still too stubborn to get Firefox...)

But I still do suggest checking it out in IE to see if you can fix any minor glitches, like the quote bubbles for the posts and the scrollbar at the bottom of the page.

I noticed a few things though: In areas such as the quantity box and title in the info screen (where it says the item name) the text is the same color as the background. It's on the Post a Reply area too. I don't know if you were aware of this or not, but the background for the site rules doesn't match the layout very well, but it's not a big deal.


By the way everyone, check out the shops and explore links. Majorly awesome revamp.

Yeah. xD It's because the admin color(my name is turquoise) and header text colors are linked. I'll try and fix that real quick though. ^^

Uh, I just noticed the "Back to Top" thing is gone under our avatar picture (the thing that brings you back to the top of the thread). I just thought it might be nice to have it back, or get links to the forums at the bottom of the threads too (just like the ones at the top saying like "Midorea Forum Index -> etc..."), 'cause it's kinda boring to scroll back up each time you want to go back to the forums...

Edit: And the shops layout is awesome! The only thing I would say is that the item's names don't show, which can be a bit confusing when the said items don't have picture (like in this screenshot). Except for that, it's great!

That is A LOT of beige (or sand, whatever you want to call it).

My only problem is with the beige bar containing the log out, messages, avatar, trades, inventory, and currency. It seems to blend in with everything else too much.

Other than that the layout look wonderful, and I stand in awe of all of your hard work.

Only thing I have to complain about is the 1/4th of an inch of black on the tops of some of the posts. Other then that I think the site looks wonderful! I am very happy with how it turned out. I think it just gives it a grown up feeling and such. Oh I wish I had old screen shots now xD

I have two miniscule suggestions for the layout:

The quote where the post goes could be made light beige, to make it pop better from everything else.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to see a little more green. :] Even if only on some of the buttons or the dark blue boxes (like where you type your posts, but that would most likely be overkill). That may just be my fear of change though so don't think too hard on it. xP
