Awesome. Action based it is.

Lessee....fantasy..... Shoot, I just saw "How to Train your Dragon", so I've got dragons on the brain. It sounds like a fun start, but still. I'd like to see if we can come up with something a bit more original.

Hm, yeah, (training) dragons does seem a bit old. Though, I've always loved dragons, so it's still interesting.
It mostly depends of what you mean by "original". I mean, most games like this have the same basic plot, only with different characters.

Oh yeah, sure. Bring logic into this. Thhhhpt.

Though I am kind of reminded of a book I read. This prince guy needs to go slay a dragon and take its' golden hoard in order to help his failing kingdom. But the dragon he meets is a vegitarian and collects butterfies. Crazy stuff happens involving a kickass princess, a sword that calls rainbows, a pessimistic unicorn... and a drunk wizard if I recall correctly.

That's not to say we'd do anything like that. It seems a bit complicated for two people. But I figured I'd share. I should probably find that book and read it again.

Sounds... interesting Happy And yes, a bit complicated for two people ^^
Though, I like the basic idea of it, someone going into a quest which finally isn't what he thought it would be.

Hooray or random quest results!! Like randomly turning into a frog when you're trying to make chocolate milk or something like that. That would kind of suck though.

What kind of characters do you have in mind?

Indeed XD

Dunno XD I've just finished my character for Koyi's game, and I'm working on my dreamer now... So my muse it getting a bit tired.
Hm, lessee... I haven't made a witch in a long time, so that might be interesting... or an old crazy wizard maybe... and some kind of companion for him/her.

I did a story like that once with a friend of mine. I played a werewolf thief while she played a witch in training. She used a summon familiar type spell while she was traveling while I was in wolf form and kind of got stuck traveling with her. Which was great because I had attempted to rob her earlier that week.

We had to go defeat a demon that was trying to break out of whatever oblivion they were in. (So cliche...) We never finished it.

And yay! Another player for my Role Play!

True, it's a bit cliche, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun Big Grin

I was thinking about a crazy wizard that had a strange familiar... need to find something good for that though.

Yup, I need to start working on this thing ^^

Well first things first. How would this wizard go about getting their familiar? A magical summoning? Raising it from birth? Accidental meeting? Aquest gone somehow wrong?

I was thinking he accidentally casted a spell on a cactus and it became alive, or something like that.
Or maybe he wanders around with a pet rock he talks to but that never seems alive until something happens (the wizard says a special word, or maybe it just reacts to danger/other phenomenon). And then it turns into a real familiar (more likely to be some kind of earth elemental or random earth monster).
You know, crazy wizard usual stuff Hai

A pet rock? I don't think I've ever seen that one. That's a fun idea. Same with the cactus.

So where do I fit in, in all this? Hmm...

lol I got the idea from a book somewhere, though the pet rock was never really alive in that story... and I don't remember where the cactus came from. Both are interesting though.

Depends mostly of what kind of character you want to play. You can be a random encounter that ends up sticking with me for some reason, or an apprentice, or the result of a bad experiment, or lots of other stuff Hai

The result of a bad experiment? Now you're just being mean.

But I do have a character from that kind of scenario. (Most of the characters I've been using here are from some sort of story I've written. And they were too cool not to use again.)

Anyway, this guy was experimenting with some kind of spell to make it so dragons cannot use their fire breath as a weapon. He goofs up and ends up turning his assistant into what I ended up calling an ice drake. (Kind of like a dragon but has fur instead of scales, and breathes frost instead of fire.) So he needs to figure out how to change the assistant back before the change becomes permanent.

I think that's one of the few stories that my friend and I ended up finishing.

Didn't mean it in a bad way. It's more like I goofed up and turned your character into something that he's not supposed to be, and that's what starts our actions.

Interesting idea Big Grin I love the ice drake, and it seems like a good plot.

I had nothing against goofed up experiments, but you have to admite, some results aren't very nice.

It was fun writing it. And what kind of experiemnt would be fun without some kind of explosion that burned up all the notes so you'd need to start your research all over again. Unless it was your masters' notes and he kicked you out of whatever training you're in until you could fix your mistake?
