Im afraid of bees, barbie dolls, and lightning/thunder/loud noises. I would add death but mostly everyone has a slight phobia of death.

I was always afraid of bees, I am not really sure why, probably because of the storys of people told me about getting stung and it hurting really bad.

Barbie dolls scare the crap out of me, I once again dont really know why. I used to like them when I was younger but not anymore. Their hair and the figure on the little lines that show where the parts are attached.. ugh.. I hate barbies.. so scary! >.<

I was almost struck by lightning four times! And I was electricuted once. The first time was when I was at a girl scout camp and it was thundering and lightning. The scout leader told us to run to the game room which was like a football feild and a half away from the camp. I took track so I was ahead of everyone else. I was runnining next to a lake and the lightning came right down into the lake next to me. The sound and flash was so sudden that I was stunned for a second. As fast as I could I turned around and did one of those running in place things you would see in like scoobydoo then ran back to camp and jumped into the van. Inside the van I was sitting vnext to like 3 or 4 things of propane! I started bawling my eyes out I was so scared, and I feared for my life.
The second time was when I was at a pool party and it began to thunder and lightning. We decided to go inside, but there were so many people that some had to stay outside under a screen room. I then noticed that my boots were outside and ran to go retrieve them. Lightning struck the pool as I ran by. I screamed, started bawling, and ran inside.
The third time had been when I was riding my bike and flying my kite. Are you sensing a pattern? Cause I am. Lightning stuck a fountain as I rode my bike past it with the kite.
The fourth time I had been almost strucvk by lightning was when I was riding my biking and singing.. the lightning struck a pole, like the pole that holds street names and stuff on them. (not water that time :P)

And yeah.. those are my Phobias.

Needles. I'm right there with you. Even when the doctors use those tiny butterfly needles to take blood, I FREAK out. Like. I'll cry. Like. Full on cry, as if I were about to get shot. It's bad.

Clowns, too. I have a HORRIBLE fear of clowns. Even ones that don't look creepy to others freak me the fack out. I can't even look at a clown without getting nightmares. D:

Yes, I agree. Clowns are...just scary. Their smiling faces and painted lips freak me out! Especially their hair, too. And the way they look at you. However, I do like the ones that appear in manga (sometimes) Laugh

I have some odd phobias, including being alone, fire, balloons, being physically sick, bugs, spiders, heights...

I'm a very paranoid person in that respect.
Being alone is my biggest fear, if i'm alone, my fear of other things is amplified, if i'm with someone I can cope much better. That and, if i'm alone, i can just become very jumpy in relation to anything, be it a strange noise when i'm alone in the house or being stood along in a crowded place and i start thinking people are giving me dirty looks

Fire is easy to explain. My Auntie's house caught fire when i was about 5. we were taken to see my auntie when the house was deemed habitable again, and it just freaked me out. I could see the blackened insulation hanging from the ceiling and walls, big black marks up the walls, the whole place was just awful and it terrified me no end. I have a small panic attack-type thing when I hear any fire alarm go off now.

The rest of my phobias, I really can't explain at all...

A teacher at my school is afraid of balloons, so some jack asses filled his room with them one day while he was out. >_> I hate it when people take advantage of someone's fears.

im pretty scared of everything, ahaha. but i have one thing that i would really call a phobia as opposed to me just being a pansy xD

i consider myself ochlophobic, i think it can also be called demophobic? its fear of crowds.

its weird. i think im quite a people person - i mean i like socialising and i love a good party xD if im in a room with my friends dancing all close together, thats fine.

crowded places i AM scared of are busy streets, clubs/pubs/halls (i only go to one nightclub cos i trust the people there and its not as crowded as others, so im told. ive also never been to a big music concert or festival because of this fear) elevators, buses (which i have to get 4 every day for college, so that SUCKS) corridors, shops/shopping centres and hospitals.

basically if im in one of those places and its really crowded, i start getting freaked out and then i start getting panicky thoughts, like my minds racing. then ill start clenching my fists or tensing my whole body and if im with someone, ill start being agressive towards them because im so freaked out by the situation. sometimes ill even start crying (this happened on a college trip in Athens. 40 degree heat, SUPER crowded alleyway and nothing to eat ALL day = a very upset me)

its... really weird. the only place ive ever been thats been crowded that DIDNT make me start freaking out was Harajuku, Tokyo. its the busiest place ive ever been in my life yet the atmosphere was different there. but so far thats the only exception o.o;;

My boyfriend and I are both afraid of crowds but in completely different ways.

He has anxiety attacks in large still crowds, especially if he's in the center. This is why he has problems in the classroom or on the bus.

I have anxiety attacks in small moving crowds, especially if they're moving along the same path in different directions. I've always had trouble eating at restaurants because if I'm sitting by a walkway - particularly with my back turned to it - I have anxiety attacks. I have most of my problems on the edges or apart from crowds.

We're kind of odd together in public. o-0 We can distract each other sometimes and compromise by, say, sitting in the back corner of a movie theatre, but otherwise there's always one person uncomfortable.

oh man that sucks, Chu Sad

the problem i have is just that people dont understand, and then they get angry with me because i start acting agressive. me and my ex-boyfriend were in HMV yesterday and i kept trying to hold his hand or arm cos i get extremely scared of being separated from whoever im with, and he kept pulling away from me and being really mean... i felt really upset, and he was just kinda insensitive about it... but he said sorry when he realised WHY i was upset xD i think he just forgets that i feel like that in crowded places, heh.

other than that i just avoid crowded places. i miss out on a lot of social things because of that - like concerts, trips to theme parks etc.

its funny how with the same phobia we can all react so differently huh? its pretty interesting really~

Ah, that stinks. D: People are usually pretty understanding with me because I don't really let anything get to me, but when I have anxiety attacks I begin shaking, looking around sporadically, and crying, so they know that something is up. Plus I'm a pretty distant person in general, and I cling like you, but more so for comfort, so they know that if I grab their back or arm that I need to be taken out of the situation kind of instinctively, you know?

I have no problem avoiding crowded places though because I've never been very social. ^^; People intimidate me period and I don't like them being physically around me in the first place, so I'm a real homebody. I feel bad though because when I go out with friends/family and have anxiety problems I pretty much ruin their night unless I suppress it, but that just gives me a breakdown when I get home.

yea, i hate physical contact with strangers and im paranoid about other peoples germs too, so that kinda adds to the fear i think haha. like, i get really mad when people keep brushing past me or like you know when they whack into your shoulder as they pass? it drives me crazy xD and i just hate being touched by people anyway unless im quite close to them. i get really tense if someone gets to near to me haha ^_~

ahh i hate when you get in that situation. either you go and bring other people down, or you pretend things are ok and then make yourself feel worse xD or you dont go at all and people think you dont like them so much or some rubbish x0x

It actually doesn't bother me, but I just really don't prefer it. And my anxiety doesn't result in irritation so much as being pathetic. XD When I think about it I remind myself of a scared kid.

Haha, yeah. I say screw them if they're too selfish to see that it's bad for my health. I've dealt with too many people like that to even care about keeping such a friendship

Iregyura - I've never read manga, so I'll trust you on that. XD
But like, my fear started when I was like 4. Every halloween, my neighbor would dress up as a killer clown, with fake blood, creepy mask, decked out yard, the whole she-bang. But whenever we'd go over there, he would like grab ahold of me to scare me (not in a pedophile way. He was like an uncle to me. XD ), and just. Neutral It was terrible.

Then a few months ago, I saw that movie adaptation of the killer who dressed up as a clown, and killed teenage boys. Which of course, amplified my clown fears. D:

Now I can't even go near a clown without freaking out. Like, once at a restaraunt, a family had a clown for a birthday, and he was standing right by our table. I wound up making our whole family move to a different table. Neutral
