| I love poetry, though I don't write much of it.
I was hoping that some of you young authors might be willing to share some of yours? Please?
I do have one piece that I'm willing to share. Its something I wrote when my father died back in 2002.
In the eyes of a little girl you could do no wrong
it never mattered who I was with you were my father, where I belonged.
All that's good about my childhood is when we were with you
and the memories that haunt me now are of what you used to say and do.
I can't say I feel I knew you as well as I could
I always felt that I didn't call or write as much as I should.
I feel I should apologize because I wasn't there
I know that we all have felt that guilt, that we let you somehow believe we didn't care.
I hope that you know now how we've always loved you
I can't explain the pain I feel, but it's the same with everyone here, too.
Now I know just how you felt holding me when I was a girl
looking at a pair of big blue eyes -
just like tthe ones I see now through a mop of curls.
I know we have to let you go, to dwell among the stars...
we all have our own ideas of heaven, but I'm sure that's where you are.
I love you and miss you dad.

| I love poems too. I use to write poems all the time I even won second place in a poetry contest. I still write poems now just not as much as I use to.

| I have to admit, that I am not a huge fan of poetry, but there is some that I love a lot. It is just so great at times. I wrote a poem once that was about my papa that had just died it was sad, but i read it to my class in highschool.

| I used to write alot but I don't any more. Most of my stuff is slam and I never get around to editing it.
