Wow, I think the same way about real-world metaphors! Once I put it to the test and tried to "predict" I guess you could say, what would happen based on symbolic happenings beforehand. As it turned out, whether it was my mind playing tricks on me or not, I could somewhat guess what would happen based on happenings beforehand.

Actually, that inspired me to write a novel on the idea that life as we know it is merely a story written by a higher being. :3 I still haven't finished though; I have commitment issues. xP

@Sycho: It's pretty good. ^^ I've realized that I'm more into Greek plays than I thought.
XD I found the same thing out when I read Medea.

I enjoyed reading it greatly. Shortly after reading it, I saw a performance of it, and was horribly disappointed.

Aw, usually works of literature are screwed up in performances though. :[

Wow, that's a really interesting experiment. I'm kind of surprised that it worked, but that's pretty cool. Maybe I'll host an experiment like that too(if you don't mind since it was your idea haha). Sometimes it's hard to look at your own life from a balanced perspective though. I'll have to find a good subject.

I am currently reading Design It Yourself by Ellen Lupton. It's a cool book of D.I.Y. design projects. I'm not sure I'm going to make any of them, but it's fun to look through for ideas.

@Juniper: I was surprised by it myself. ^^; I tend to have the talent of pulling myself away from emotional attachment fairly easily though, so it wasn't terribly hard.

@Iiwi: I love doing DIY projects! xP

It really is!

"Northanger Abbey" by Jane Austen. It's interesting, but really not one of my favourites of hers. It's, I think, the only book of Jane Austens' oeuvre that I hadn't read yet. Hurray for my geekiness! <3

Iiwi: I would love to read that! <3

Anyways, we finally ended Candide, so the book I am classifying as being read by me now is The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Tolstoy. The last Tolstoy I read was about Americans... it was alright. It looks disgustingly short...

Yeah, we just finished reading the Tao Te Ching. I can't believe the man (supposedly) wrote that in a single day; I'd like to hear the real story behind it.
