| Well, in the Drawing Males thread I ended up looking through my art resource links I've saved, and realised I have quite a lot. So, I'm going to post them here in the hopes of helping some other aspiring artists.
Also a poll. :3 Yup. I love western cartoons and such, but I'm an anime freak at heart.
Oh, and a note on the poll: it should really be "of those listed" as I don't mean favourite art type out of everything. >_>;
But first of all I warn you: some of these collections may include nude figures, purely for art purposes of course, but if you don't wish to see those things, you've officially been warned. It is your choice to click on these links I cannot be held responsible for the content of the sites.
Of course I am unable to search through every page of every site to check, so just be careful.
♥ The Melancholy of Mohey Pori. This is a truly INSANE amount of resources. The first section has five parts. The first is a huge list of tutorials, guides and more resources, the second is a list of things to do to help you learn teh artz and so on. It's very in depth and very helpful. *At the end of this, I will be posting part five, "The Rules of Art". :3
(Note: "/ic/" is the Art and Critique board on the well known Imageboard 4chan. That's where I've collected a lot of these tutorials.)
♥ Andrew Loomis is a name that always comes up. Particularly "Figure Drawing for all it's Worth".
♥ Posemaniacs is a great source for many, many poses. You can move the 3D models around to different horizontal angles to get the pose you want.
♥ Perspective Made Easy by Ernest R. Norling. A preview of the book, very helpful, especially for learning to draw backgrounds.
♥ Concept Art is a fantastic source of inspiration, and you might just learn a thing or two. ;3
♥ This lovely lady has a lot more great tutorials linked at the bottom of her comment; poses, hands, feet, faces and how to draw both guys, and girls! Very helpful if you want to learn a more western cartoon style, as well.
♥ Cedarseed has a huge amount of tutorials. Seriously. And here is a link to her journal entry with a huge list of more: click! There's how to draw different types of people, animals, how to set up a comic page, tons.
♥ Want to test your knowledge of emotions? Try the 25 Essential Expressions Challenge.
♥ *And finally, The Rules of Art v1. From the first link.
•Study the following first
◦Anatomy (muscle structure, bone structure, construction of objects)
◦Perspective (viewing angle, 1, 2 and 3 point perspectives)
◦Composition (placement of objects, focal points, viewing angle, overall feel)
•Study the following next
◦Contrast (emphasization of opposites colors to create depth)
◦Light/Shadow (how light creates shadows and highlights)
◦Color Value (mood, atmosphere, how they affect a picture)
•Study the following LAST
◦Creativity (concepts and imagination)
◦Style (proper exaggeration of the above basics of art)
I hope within this long list you find something to help you! And draw on, my friends! Draw on!
Oh, a note to mods: I hope this is okay with the codes I've used. I wanted everything to look presentable and easy to understand. If it's a problem just let me know and I'll find a way to change some things around.

| Thanks, these are very helpful!
I've been an anime fanartist when I was young and I'm trying to be more realistic but it's challenging. I keep going back to bad habits.

| *takes exception to your poll which is woefully narrowminded*
I like realism, and some installation art. >__>;;
The resources list however could be useful. : )

| Whoahey! Oh and that works because it's your name, too. Huh.
BUT ANYWAY, no, the poll isn't for all types of art as that would be a very laaarge poll indeed.
Just for which is your choice on that type of art. Like comics/animation.
I was going to add realism and such but then I thought "If I'm going to open it up like that there should probably be a few more options, but I can't think right now... so screw it." ;
But yes, I like realism too. I'm just a comic dork at heart I guess. x3
I'd not heard of the name "installation art" before. When I googled it I realised I knew what it was though, just not the name. Now I know the name I can look into it more, yay! Because it's totally awesome.
Wow, holy dick, some of this stuff, in fact a considerable amount of it due to what it is I guess, it very weird. <3
Edit: I wish I could actually change the poll to be "of those listed" now, but I do not think it is possible. I should mention that in my main post, actually.

| Then instead of "What is your favourite art style?", should have been "What is your favourite reigional animation style?" xD
Yeah, i like comics too, i'm just alot more picky about it, art wise that is.
I know, i enjoy it alot. Some of it is just fucked up though, and awful. But when i was in Spain the museum in Madrid had an exhibition on and entired floor done up into about a dozen differant peices. It was amazing. I really enjoyed it.
They had this one in a pitch black room with an entire two story wall done floor to ceiling with with tvs stacked ontop of eachother. Each one was blacked over with tape except for a thin strip about 1cm-.5cms at various heights. Each tv was playing a differant channel and it had bells tolling in the background. When you walk in it was like wall of sound, with little flickering beautiful colours. There was a bench opposit the tvs you could just sit on. The whole set-up was hypnotising, i sat down in there and was found pretty much out of it about 45mins later by a friend. It was amazing. <333
And New Yorkers, which was also really fantastically done. That was a friend's favourit.
The whole floor was pretty damned awsome except for one exhibit. It totally converted me into an installation art lover. <3

| Indeed. Mah bad.
Yes, I would imagine when things go wrong they got VERY wrong.
Whoa, that TV room sounds like the very essence of what installation art is all about. Taking you to another place. It sounds absolutely awesome. So much so I'm sitting here thinking "oh man I wish I'd been able to see it"!

| Hey I just came back from Madrid, which museum is it?
I'm beginning to like Inst. art--it's kind of like large-scale scupltures.

Installation art is nothing like large scale sculptures. Not really. xD;;
I don't remember, i went to like a dozen museams whilst i was in spain. And i beleive it was a only a temperary exhibition. Not a permenant event. : )
It was one that was like four stories and had it's elevator on the outside of the building in a glass collum.

| It's weird, expensive, a pain to set up into an exhibit and when done is either really awsome or really awful.
It's one of those things that either works or doesn't.
EDIT: I was thinking about it and i think it was the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. (i might be wrong) I remember it had a big external elevator in a glass casing on the outside of the building, was like four stories and looked out over a paved square.
