Nickname: Kuma (means "bear" in Japanese) -> comes from the fact that he almost hibernate when he is asleep, meaning no one can wake him up unless he wants to, and he also has a tendency to push strange roars from time to time
Weapons: Kuma possesses a strange blade called Voile-de-Brume, or Voile for short. It's a double or dual blade, meaning it is made out of two blades that are clipped together to make only one sword. However, they can be separated at any time, due to a special mechanism hidden in the handle. To prevent it from separating at the wrong time, two small buttons must be pushed together, one being just under the guard and the other at the complete end of the handle. Voile looks like a normal katana, its long curved blades made of a silver alloy, with a silver guard and a handle wrapped in white leather. The end of the handle is decorated by what looks like a long, pale blue silk ribbon. In fact, that ribbon is there to join the two handles together (remember that it's a double blade), preventing the blades from getting split and being sold separately. It can be stretched somewhat, allowing some special moves, but it can't be cut or damaged by a living being (Yay! for science making special unbreakable materials). Except from its appearance, Voile-de-Brume is a normal blade with no special power what so ever. Kuma doesn't possess any other weapon, and even if Voile is somewhat an odd weapon in this world, he greatly prefers it to anything else.

Position: What the?!? Oh, right... Mostly top, but depends of the situation and the people...
Personality: James acts like a normal guy. He is proud of himself and of his past and won't allow anyone to criticize it. He isn't quick to anger, but if you push him too far, he will happily rip you head off. He doesn't talk much, mostly because he often doesn't know what to say. You see, James is not good with words, so instead of saying something that will end up being misunderstood, he prefers to shut up. Due to that, he sometimes looks cold and insensitive. He doesn't show his feelings much, because he simply doesn't like that. He is more of the logical type of guy, listening more to his brain than his heart. He is somewhat curious, but knows how to control himself. He is quite open and will accept most people easily, even if they don't think like him. Once he has learnt to trust you and call you a "friend", he will be ready to do almost anything for you. Almost...
Background details: James comes from a strange family. You see, unlike most kids nowadays, he has a mother and a father. Both of their families were part of a group who didn't like sciences and progress and choose to promote the good old traditions. To prevent any temptation, they had also retired to a land far away from the rest of of the civilization, where they raised their kids according to their believes. James was thought how to fight at a young age, because his father was part of the security guards who forbid anyone to enter, or leave, the settlement. But he was also a curious child, so on the day of his twentieth birthday, he decided to escape and go discover the world. Not that he couldn't have made that before, but he wanted to carefully plan everything, because he knew what would happen to him if he was caught. He packed his bag, putting in some clothes and all his savings, and then hid it in the bushes around the camp. Since he was part of the guards on duty that day and knew all the exits and the surrounding like the back of his hand, the escape proved to be quite easy. He ran for a couple of hours, until he reached a small village. There, he spent most of his savings on a small hover-bike, which he used to go to the nearby metropolis. After talking with some people and getting to know to the town a bit, he heard about the GOS. Since he wanted to know more about the world and why it was in its current state, he thought that the GOS would be the right place to go. But since James' education lacked a bit due to his family's believes, it took him three years to prepare himself correctly, working during the day in a small bakery and taking evening courses. After that period, he successfully passed the entrance exam of the GOS and was allowed to participate to the one-year-long recruits' training. Since he already had good fighting skills, he easily survived the training and he is now part of a special team hired to hunt down Ex-hes and bring them back to the laboratories. James doesn't really like hunting people, but he knows that this is the only way for him to make his marks in the GOS, and therefor the only way to get to know more about sciences and his world.
Appearance: James looks quite slender, with a height of 6½ feet and a weight just around 175 pounds. He has short messy dark brown hair, with some locks always falling in front of his deep blue eyes. His skin is of a pale beige shade. His face isn't cute or ugly, but somewhere in between those extremes. James never, ever wears a beard. For some unknown reason, he hates facial hairs (at least on him) and will shave everyday to prevent having the slightest sign of regrowth. He wears the uniform of the GOS, a long white coat with an X on the top of his back, with a black shirt and black jeans. He doesn't have any accessories or distinctive feature, except for the katana tied to his waist. If he goes outside the laboratories for a mission, he will usually wears a pair of black leather gloves and boots to protect himself, though he doesn't really like them.

Position: Bottom
Personality: Maaka is a slightly clueless Ex-he, but isn't an air-head. He realises the dangers quickly and would rather run than fight. He is shy around anyone else, be it a human or an Ex-he, but once he gets to know them he becomes attached. Lots of things confuse him and sometimes he must say things three or four times before he understands the meaning of it. Since his body is very small and light, Maaka is a very fast runner, especially when he's in danger. Some older Ex-hes call him the 'rabbit' for his shyness and speed when in the face of danger.
Background details: Maaka was supposed to be one of the normal tests, to see how much could ones traits be affected. He was supposed to have blond hair and brown eyes, but because he was exposed to some terrible heat at the main stage of his development, his hair died purple and eyes became red. That's also the reason why he has his power. He could go mingle with the humans, but purple hair and red eyes stand out too much. When a push comes to shove he'd wear a hat and glasses if it was an absolute necessary for him to go in to town.

Personality: Odol has two distinct personalities: the first is a calm, easy-going and pleasant young man who is in almost every way "normal"; the second is a rather disturbed and wicked sadist.
He mostly socialises with humans in the town, and obviously here it would be a danger to be anything other than his kinder side. However behind closed doors, in dark corners hidden from view, he's able to reveal his more savage side.
He steers clear of most other Ex-hes, or rather it's the other way around. As they have enough problems in their lives they have no urge to involve themselves with such a troubled individual. Although there are a few Ex-hes more prone to the darker side of things, and he does have a few non-human "friends", well, more acquaintances.
He's an intelligent and thoughtful man, always curious to learn more, but this is usually through his brutal and cruel past times. For a person who has seen both sides to him (which is particularly rare, there being only only a handful of Ex-hes who've seen him behave in both ways), it's impossible to tell whether he's suffering from split personalities, or whether his kinder side is just an act. Odol is the only person who really knows, and the only one who stands a real chance of ever knowing, aside from a trained professional who would need to study him for some time. Another good reason to avoid getting hauled back to GOS HQ.
Background details: Odol was lucky enough to be one of the later subjects to be tested for compatibility with animal DNA, meaning that by the time they came to him they had significantly more knowledge of what they were doing and what they wanted from the experiment, or at least enough sense to take things slowly and implement different traits one at a time, carefully testing to make sure things went according to plan. In fact, the only strange thing to occur before the real problems were experienced was that he appeared to stop aging physically at around seventeen to eighteen years of age, leaving him looking only that old from then on. Though it's not uncommon for Ex-hes to have strange goings on in the physical-signs-of-age department (some being trapped as children forever).
Of course, science in a tricky business, and like most Ex-hes things did not go according to plan. Inevitably things started to go wrong, for Odol, not in appearance but in his mind. He started to have fits of uncontrollable rage, at first only lasting a small amount of time and controllable enough for the scientists at least that they could restrain and sedate him. As time went on they were able to make progress with his mental state so that though he was unable to control the urges, he could stop himself from acting upon them. Unless he wanted to; which is something they failed to take into consideration. Due to his calm and quiet disposition they critically forgot to contemplate the chance of there being something lurking underneath the surface; something that maybe the experiments had triggered the awakening of; something that Odol was either hiding from them, or completely unaware of himself.
Whichever it might have been, carelessly and arrogantly putting all their faith in their precious findings and theories no one expected for him to turn and fight his way out, his animal characteristics only aiding him in slinking through the shadows and sneaking past anyone he knew he couldn't outmatch in a fight.
Having normal coloured hair and eyes, with the only real visible abnormality being easily covered up by a hood or hat, Odol spends a lot of time in the town, finding the day to day life of humans more interesting than that of the Ex-hes who live on the outskirts, however the outskirts is where his "home" is located.
Appearance: Picture not by me. Nowhere near as sweet as he looks. Also has slightly larger/longer canine teeth and nails than "normal", though it's something you'd barely notice. If you did you'd think at most he'd deliberately styled his nails that way, and well everyone's teeth are different.

Personality: Tonraq is in every way childish. Though he is 19, due to the experiments, he is locked in the mind of a 10 year old, and thinks, behaves, and speaks as such. This means that he can be sweet and affectionate at one moment and acting in childish cruelty the next. He also has insatiable curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, but usually gets distracted before he finds the answers he's looking for. He can be selfish, greedy, tends to use others, and doesn't understand why people push him away when he acts in such a way.
Background details: Tonraq was an earlier experiment focusing on how many animal DNAs they could combine with the human DNA. They attempted to combine arctic fox and fennec fox DNA, but the DNA of the arctic fox was genetically dominant (the only physical feature the fennec fox DNA effected was his tiny stature). The mixing of the DNA started effecting his mental state early on, and he was considered a threat. He was able to escape by using another experiment as a distraction and sticking to the shadows. Being as he would stick out in human society, the outskirts is where he calls home.

| Ooh, this sounds like a good thing to get started with. I've RPed before, I'm quite a regular on another forum, but I've never done so on a mostly avatar-based site. Hopefully there won't be too much of a difference. :3
I'm sure if I fudge up people can correct me and help me along. I'll just ask if I'm unsure and the likes.
