Pchat/OC party

I looove to Pchat. Well actually, I love to screw around with a friend or two in open canvas.

I don't really know any pchat boards that have been good enough to entice me to stay. Anyone know any? I'd love to know some. Sometimes I get the need to publicly humiliate myself artistically and no one is around =A=;;

On the topic of OC though... anyone else do this? I'd love to oc pchat sometime... I am an oc whore. XD I will pchat with anyone, as long as you draw. Pchats with my friends usually turn into a request-a-thon where I just draw stuff for them, lol. Saaaad but true. Am I trying to bribe any of you with free arts? Perhaps... perhaps.

If you have no freaking clue what I'm talking about!!! >>> OpenCanvas is a painting program, but the very basic version has a networking option and it is awwwwsm. It is free and very small. Often, it's hard to host the pchat because of router issues, so my friends and I use another small network program called hamachi.

and since I'm a mac user OC doesn't work for me q.q (I have a PC which is running on windows but I rarely use it) If not that, I'd loved to doodle with ya oAo

IOC has given me fits before when i tried to set up a chat with it T.T twas a sad day. I would love to give Paint chats a go but I have never really been about to find one...

What is this hamachi you speak of too?

Um.. hamachi is like a false network thing and sort of bypasses the failure of your router by using a different IP. It's nothing complicated, even though it sounds that way. If you guys wanna have an oc party we should organize one ^^ I'd be glad to help anyone who has troubles.

As for how you set it up, OC has a network option. One person hosts and the others connect using that person's IP. On hamachi, you all join one network there and use the host's hamachi IP.

like first person post a sketch, next person add/change something and so on? wouldn't that be fun? ^^
since it might be difficult to set up date and time for n oc party do to time zones (and i probably wouldn't be eble to participate but i would love too q.q)

That's a great idea :D Might get kind of complicated, lol. We'd have to decide on a program to use, I think... and upload the file rather than the image. It might be fun to make a big collab with all of our avatars or something, each of us drawing ourselves.... or... just whatever. XD


I'm used to working in multiple time zones, so setting up an oc/pchat party wouldn't be TOO hard... we'd just need to establish a group of people to participate first. We can only have 4 in oc. Or I should just find a pchat board and use this thread to keep track of when people are on.

Ah that sounds like it would have fixed the problems I had last time I used the chat thing.

I really think all of the ideas would be fun to give a go.
For the tag-along drawing
Since we all seem to have OC why not start there? Then to we can use the play back option to watch it all be drawn out when said and done.

We all know I suck at P-chat XD. It is truly tragic. Paper is for drawing, tablets are for making drawings awesome lol--at least in my world.

I wouldn't suggest using Hamachi ;>___> It leaves you completely open to attacks since it allows people DIRECT access to your computer and all the information on it. So unless you know what your doing and how to protect yourself I would be EXTREMELY careful.

Oekaki Central used to have a really nice Pchat but I haven't been there in forever so I dont really know if its still as good as it used to be. I would love to find a good Pchat though. My friend found a nice one but for some reason it refuses to send me a verification e-mail. u__u

LoL oh yeah, I do know what I'm doing XD;; I just prefer OC over public pchats because I like to draw gianthugemongo and need like at least 1500x1500 space XD for MYSELF. And I need hamachi for that to work unfortunately.

Maybe you're using a non-compatible e-mail client? :/ which pchat is it?
