How You Look is How You Feel
This was a hangout I created quite awhile back on Roliana, and since I don't go on there much anymore, but I want to get back into living healthy, I decided to restart it over here on Midorea. ^_^
Welcome to a very special hangout for people who want to feel great and look great physically. This hangout is for people who are trying to get in shape, eat healthy, even keep better hygiene. The goal of this hangout is for every single member to have a support group of other people sharing similar goals to their own. Everything is easier with friends, hopefully we will be able to provide each other with advice and motivation.
So please have a look around, check out our advice colums, and make some friends. It's never to early to start getting in shape for next summer in my book. ;3
CURRENT RANDOM ADVICE:
If you don't already, get your eye brows waxed or plucked. Having nice clean eye brows can just add a world of difference to your face. You will be surprised at how much of a boost it will give you. Your face will feel just cleaner in a way. Don't be scared about the pain. I prefer waxing as it is much much quicker. It's cheap and it is 100% totally worth it.
If you've never had it done before and have really thick eye brows, tell them you want to go really thin. Don't worry their conception of thin and what you're thinking this will mean are not the same. Thin to them isn't really that thin.

Everybody has rules, so please be sure to read. I try to keep very little! 8D
1.)The Obvious: Follow Midorea's TOS!
2.)Do no ever, EVER, tease or put anybody in this hangout down.
3.)No begging, for anything.
See that wasn't so bad? I'm pretty liberal in mindset. ;3
Breaking ANY of these limited rules will result in being banned from the thread. No warnings, no second chances. I keep very little rules and I expect them to be followed.

Advice of the Month:
Keep a diary or journal of your progress. Record each meal you eat, the number of calories it contained(or an estimation of), or whatever else you are trying to cut back on. Also record each time you exercise, what kind of exercise it was, how long you did it for, distance if applicable, and if you are able to, how many calories you burned from said exercise. Pick one day of the week to weigh yourself, and be sure to record that each week as well.
Writing it down everyday will keep you aware how much much you're taking in and even better if you can compare it to how much you are working off. When you see your progress going in a good direction it will keep you on the right track. If you see you're progress going negatively, the journal will make it much easier to figure out where you need to make changes, and help to motivate you to get back ont he right track.

Advice of the Month:
"In the AM, your energy stores are depleted by as much as 80 percent from the night before. Without food, your body shifts into starvation mode, which means it begins to conserve energy and burn fewer calories. (In other words: Your metabolic rate takes a nosedive.) That may be why, in one study, breakfast skippers were 4 1/2 times more likely to be obese than breakfast eaters."(AOL Health)
I cannot stress enough the importance of healthy breakfast. Some of my suggested breakfast foods, always with 100% fruit juice:
A bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios
South Beach Diet makes DELICIOUS Frozen Breakfast Burritos
Nutri-Grain Bar with fruit filling
One egg with english muffin, or slice of toast, and half a tomato
Yogurt with a cup of nuts.
If you don't have time to eat at home, and absolutely have to drive through somewhere, try not to order anything on a bagel, croissant, or biscuit. No McGriddles or pancake like sandwiches! English Muffins are your best bet in the drive through, with ham or canadian bacon. Try to stay away from normal bacon, steak, and sausage.
A decent breakfast you could order from McDonald's: One Egg McMuffin(no cheese), a Fruit and Yogurt Parfait, and an orange juice. If you feel you need a little more to fill you up try an order of Apple Dippers, or a Side Salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
It is best to eat within 30 minutes to an hour of waking up to gain that little extra boost of metabolism!

Past Advice:For the tl;dr
06/09 - Don't ever skip breakfast! Eat within 30 minutes to and hour of waking up. Always have a glass of 100% fruit juice, opt for ham over sausage and bacon, and opt for an english muffin over biscuits, croissants, and bagels.

This area is currently under construction, sorry for the wait. x3
In the meantime:
Go treat yourself to a pedicure! Having your feet massaged, cleaned, and exfoliated will put you in a better mindset for taking care of your body. Having pretty feet will also encourage you to wear flip flops, and shorts, which will likely encourage you to get out in the sun more. More vitamen D and outdoors activity is never a bad thing.

Advice of the Month:
Let's talk vitamins!
Vitamins are a small easy to add routine to each day that can really make the difference. One of my first pieces of advice to anybody that should happen to find themselves here: take a multi-vitamin everyday! In my opinion it is the first step to getting in shape. You put a lot of strain on your body when you're trying to change it, so naturally your body is going to need some extra support. This is especially true for those who find their diet the hardest aspect of their lifestyle to improve on.
Not really sure which vitamins are right for you, or even what certain ones do? Than I have just the article for you! ;3
Check this page out for a good breifing on types of vitamins and their functions!
For those who may wonder, I take One a Day Weight Loss multi-V, B-complex, and fish oil vitamins. ;3
