| As tribute to my old habits. The first thread I ever start in a chat room is always called bubbles.
Of course that doesn't mean I actually have anything to say. Just looking for some random conversation, really.
Join in with any nonsequitors you may have! I want to hear them. XD

| LoL, well if it's going to be called bubbles, I'll tell you about bubbles.
Walmart sells some nice bubble solution for only $1, but you have to use it at night in the cold, because that's when it works best. Also, it makes one of my cats go insane because it makes two lovely lights outside for each bubble, and he's special like that.
In other news, I am watchin' Cash Cab right now and am very hungry. I'm supposed to eat every three hours but I completely missed my last meal 'cause I was on here and watching tv, so I lost track of time. I'm going to have roast beef and cabbage. Mmm.
I very much want another cup of coffee too. Should get up but another one of my cats is in my lap being adorable.

| I find your post most intriguing. I did not know that walmart sold bubbles so cheap. I shall have to purchase some. Specifically for the use on cats. My step-dad's cat is extremely neurotic, and using bubbles on her is entertaining as all get out. Which is a really strange phrase, by the way.
As for cash cab, I have seen it on occasion. Quite entertaining. And good for roast beef and cabbage. Both very delicious food stuffs.
As for the buttons, very cute. I appear to be a mochi. lol.

| Bubbles and cat people ~ perfect place for me! I love kitties and have a bunch of them. I also have several bottles of blowing bubbles, bought just for the kitties. Some of them love chasing the bubbles. Some are curious but just watch them. And a couple of them actually run from the bubbles.
A couple of my kitties love bath bubbles or are intrigued by bath bubbles. One tries to step from the side of the tub onto my knee if I have it sticking out of the bubbles.
They also love when I take newspaper and tear it in strips (and tear those so they aren't so long) and throw it up in the air and let it float down. They go crazy cuckoo nuts over that!
And I can go on and on about my cats for pages and hours so I'll stop right there before I don't stop.
@kaishi ~ make sure you eat every 3 hours like you're supposed to!! I don't know why you're supposed to but I assume there is a good reason. Of course, it's easy to tell someone else to remember. I never remember the right times if I'm supposed to be taking any kind of medication or anything. Although if it was food I had to remember it might be a little easier for me since I hate taking pills of any kind. Thinking about Roast Beef and Cabbage is making me hungry.
If the buttons work the same way as astrological signs then I'm on the cusp of Miso and Mochi.
@Cougati ~ that is a strange phrase. Wonder how it came to be.
"snug as a bug in a rug" is another one I think is kind of strange. Hmmm....maybe there should be a topic for people to share strange and/or interesting phrases, quotes, sayings, etc....
Ok, done babbling for now.

I love blowing bubbles. They are so much fun and cheap. I like the scented bubbles best. They smell great. I got one that made scented bubbles of all different scents.

| Bubbles always remind me of when I was little and would take bubble baths but take the suds and splash them up against the wall and my mom would yell at me.
I never got to blow bubbles when I was little though My older brothers ruined that for me because one of them made the other drink the soap stuff and apparently he had to go to the emergency room or something o_O Who knew bubbles were so dangerous?

| ~ Monbohn: I love cats. Unfortunatley, my mom is allergic, and I'm not allowed to have them on campus, so I can't get any for a few more years yet. Aw man. Bath bubbles and cats? That's an odd combination.
Ah yay. Those buttons are really cute. I would assume they do work like astrological signs, since they have the birth days right on there.
Ew, I hate taking pills. Bad for me, I have head aches constantly, so I'm always taking Ibuprofen.
And phrases all seem to be weird. I make a habit of trying to figure out where certain phrases probably originated. It's a ton of fun (well, for me anyway) I am such a nerd. One of my favorites is Force of Habit. I say that ALL the time. XD
@ Urboros: I'm sorry. Well, I guess they aren't for everyone. XD
@Carpe Diem: Yeah! Scented bubbles are awesome! I normally just get the regular ones, though.
@Fallain: Bubble baths are so awesome, aren't they? I can imagine though. When I was little, I inhaled a bunch of bubble fluid, but I didn't have to be rushed to the hospital. I just ate a bunch of candy and sweet stuff to get the god awful taste out of my mouth. aha.... But that's a little weird, I never knew they COULD be dangerous!

| Bubbles?
I have a fondness for poking badgers with spoons in most of my first posts on a site.
My button is ... ramen.

| There are scented bubbles? I had no idea. I bought bubbles in bulk a long time ago and still have a lot so haven't bought any for a while. I mean, I know there's scented bubble bath, but it sounds like you're talking about blowing bubbles. Must find scented bubbles (and I have to admit those would be for my sniffing pleasure and not the kitties playing pleasure ~ I'm such a kid at heart)
@Cougati ~ Awww...I'm sorry you can't have any kitties for a while. I would die without mine. *gives nearby kitties lots of lovies*
and just like you, I really, really hate taking pills and I get headaches a lot too (about 50% of them migraines which only excedrine seems to work on for me). In high school I finally found the easiest way for me to be able to take a pill when I saw another girl doing this: I take a big swig of any kind of drink that isn't carbonated and tilt my head way back, then wait for the liquid to start trickling down my throat causing the urge to swallow but before swallowing I throw the pills in with head still tilted back and most of the time they go down relatively smoothly. Most of the time. When I was younger I used to chew up a bunch of doritos until they were chewed to bits and then stick a pill in the middle of it and swallow. Doesn't work as well as the liquid down the throat thing.
Phrases...two more that I like are "whatever floats your boat" and "it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick" although you can easily figure out what they mean.

| Yeah, well, I'll get there eventually.
Hm...yeah, that's sort of like what I do. I just try to fill up my mouth with water, so I swallow the whole mouthful in one gulp. But when I was little, my mom used to put the pill in a spoonfull of jelly, and then I could chew it up that way. It still tasted disgusting though.
And I could imagine doing that with the new Ibuprofen pills, the gel ones. Even thinking about one of those bursting in my mouth makes me shudder. ew.......
Other phrases I like or use "For a lark" I use that one all the time, and I always end up having to explain it to people. Fail. I also say "third times the charm" quite often.
