About the Quester:

Amaya
Age 18
College student/English Major (emphasis on creative writing and linguistics)
5'4" Brown hair/Eyes

I am writing my own language for a series of books about a planet called Janeli with two continents. Amaya lives on Ja'neli (the continent), and travels the world searching for the perfect scene to paint.

Amaya, the Midorean, is a nomad painter, with long red hair and brown eyes. She has only recently come to the area, drawn by the festival, but she finds that she may have reason to stay. The festival's flowers and trees are so handsome and delicate, and there are a few handsome men too. She will probably stay if she can find steady work as an artist.
Her quick hand disguises her young age, as she is a veteran of ten years, raised to paint, sing, and worship Elen through all of her movements and words.

Future Quest(s)

Amaya has a long way to go to find the perfect outfit.

But after that I have a rather daring goal of owning every item on Midorea (because what else am I going to quest then a midorean item?).

And finally, I will be questing the perfect Amaya, vibrant and happy and full of nature's beauty.

Past Quest(s)

The Item:

Curly Cue Red Hair

The Reason:
The best haircut on Midorea for Amaya. Almost exactly how I imagined it, this style is both sensible (to keep the hair out of her eyes) and elegant. I look at it and imagine the soft blush of romance in her cheeks.

Yes! JRRTolkien is my hero! It was him who gave me the inspiration to turn my dreams into a world and series of stories. After I read the silmarillion (sp?) I died of happiness. The creation of Arda was amazing!

And I'll stop babbling now.

It was hard for me to understand the simarillian, you're mind is amazing.

I read the hobbit and The fellowship.
The details on the elves and the depth he put into the language was real cool.

(I babbles too!)

A book that came out recently, the Children of Hurin, is easier to read and still gives some nice history. But I had to read that big heavy text several times and separate it into little story-sections to understand it.

LOTR was the longest thing he wrote that was a single story. And it was so cool, wasn't it. Bouncy Heart There were so many details about everything. And Frodo was handsome and Legolas was tall, mysterious, and handsome!

There's something for everyone.
