'Oh come on,' said Mary, nudging her new friend.

[Yare]

Gwenlin shook her head again, looking fearful. How was she supposed to indicate what Mary was doing was taboo?

Mary sighed with resignation. She put the scissors and comb away. Then, her stomach gave a little growl. She went to the kitchen.

[Yare]

Gwenlin looked down at her fingers and shuddered. There was some cloth on the counter that she used to wipe it off - most of it was wet enough for her to get a lot of it off her fingers - and Meldo used his teeth to scrape off the rest. When enough of it was gone for her to feel slightly more comfortable, Gwenlin stood up and went to find Mary.

Mary had gotten a piece of toast covered in honey. She noticed Gwenlin had wiped off the nail polish. She didn't say anything about it, but rolled her eyes. She bit into the toast.

[Yare]

Gwenlin was slightly confused, and hurt. She knew she hadn't done what was expected of her, but she desperately wanted to explain. She just wished Mary wouldn't keep acting angry about it.

Mar finished her piece of toast, then tried to ask Gwenlin through gestures whether she was hungry too.

[Yare]

Gwenlin understood the point of the gestures and nodded.
