| I love watching people argue. And if there's none going on, I'll start one. I'll totally choose a side I don't agree with just to hear new arguments. My last big one was on Wal-mart, but that was mostly because I get sick of hearing about how Wal-mart is the devil and whatnot.
An earlier one was that female athletes can achieve the same greatness as males, but the psychological limitations created by society make this hard, but if it was believed that females could grow up without the psychological limitations, they would be able to make the same records. This isn't really what I believe, but I got a nice long discussion out of it.
I'm also surrounded by feminists, so this kind of debate has surrounded me a lot, but not this version.
What do you like to debate?
Do you avoid debating?
Where did I get my title?

| Women usually psychologically and mentally attack someone, while men go for the physical attacks. To me, that's more dangerous.
That aside though, I enjoy debating quite a bit. In fact, my relationship with Raz wouldn't last without debates. Easily bored by every-day life, I can't stand not to have some friction. :]

| Yay friction! I understand that, and I kind of do that too. What I can't get is my friends who go beyond for the sake of friction and start drama.

| I once had an hour long discussion with a guy on whether or not unicorns existed.
I don't mind debating as long as the other party can keep a cool head about them. Once the yelling starts I quit. If you're not going to listen to me anyway I'm not going to take the time to explian my point of view.
Regardless, I really enjoy silly debates.
(Also, I totally won my side of the unicorn argument. Unicorns did exist. )

| I enjoy a debate every now and then, especially if I understand and know what I am trying to talk or debate about. Like this one time when I was talking to my brother about aware/blatant racism vs unaware/unintentional racism, which I was learning about in my women's studies class. I was actually quite proud of myself because it was one of those rare debates where I could actually defend myself and make solid points.
Otherwise, I'm not too fond of arguing or confronting or being confronted. Especially if people start to raise voices. I do not react very well, even if I myself want to fight back. My instinct is flight, whether I want to fight or not.

| To me, debating is fun but awfully difficult. It takes a lot of will-power to not lose your head over something. As well, people often react really badly if you think differently than they do. (Haha, sometimes it is fun to anger others, though.)
As for the title of this thread, I like it xD. I think in a lot of ways women are more deadly, and stronger than men. But they're different biologically, so there is always going to be certain things that one sex is better at than the other because it's been built into them.
I do believe that women can achieve the same greatness as men, but it has been culturally ingrained that they cannot. There are other cultures, though, where women and men are entirely equal, or women are the dominant power in the culture.

| I'll debate if its something that I have a strong opinion about, but I'm a stickler for absolute true equality of the sexes so I don't really think any one is naturally more deadly than the other.
(OMG!!! I was just in the spider thread so I find the title of this tread quite amusing! )

| yea well i'll probably be hated for saying this, but women usually ARE physically weaker than men and born that way.
But that's why we're smarter. A guy can break your arm and it will heal and he'll forget about it by the end of the year.
However, once a girl messes with your head, you remember that for LIFE.

| Girls are only physically weaker in certain aspects, though. Among humans the physical differences between the sexes aren't as noticeable as with other animals. As well, women are technically more durable (made to have kids and last over the years.) And they live longer.
Plus, in certain cultures, as I stated before, they are the dominant ones and go out and hunt and such, and are probably physically bulkier than the men.
In our progressive societies, though, we women are much weaker than men, but yes, often times smarter. Not necessarily all the time, though. xD Women are also, usually, emotionally stronger (even if we get really "emotional") it's easier for us to get over things and to let it all out when we need to. But in general, if you add up different aspects of men and women, we'd come about equal in strength, just different types of strength.

| I agree with you on that point. In my lifetime, all of the women that I've met have been extremely strong, while the men are the ones with the emotional breakdowns, addictive habits, ect.
It kind of makes me feel like the odd one out, now that I think about it.

| Yeah. It's been kinda same for me. A lot of the guys I know have addictive habits or they have a lot of emotional problems ALL the time. But the girls I know seem pretty carefree and happy for the most part.
In the long-run, I think emotional and mental strength is probably more useful than physical strength.

| Lily: Yush! I knew it!
And for me it depends on the yelling and the amount of publicity around. Its not my fault if you make yourself to look like a jackass.
Gladde: ah yes, knowing what you're talking about makes it a far better experience. But also, practice makes better!
I actually get twitchy when I notice people not arguing their points well because they don't know enough, even when I'm on the other side.
Prince: I agree- but the title inspired the topic, not the other way arround XD
Kasumi: Haha! It was more of a coincidence that my title goes with that thread.
Fallain: Its best to define weaker here. They do tend to catch diseases easier, but physical strength is about the same I believe.
I've had more mind game intensive guys than you'd think impact me.
Prince (Again): I wouldn't say progressive. I'd say western europe influenced.
Chu/Prince: I have encountered more emotionally inflicted men than is generally thought. I don't know if its actually more than women or if its just that I notice them because the women are "supposed" to be emotional. Mental and emotional strength only are helpful so long as you are alive, which requires some level of physical strength (being healthy is a sign of a strong immune system/physical strength).

| Well, I do enjoy debate, as long as it doesn't become a full-blown argument. I don't really like arguing with people, just because I'm more passive agressive, but if I get into an argument I can get pretty vicious and then I'll feel guilty for... forever. As long as it's basically uncalled for. XD There are certain topics I can't deal with without just becoming irrationally angry at the other person... usually these involve prejudices or blind faith behaviors that I just can't wrap my brain around.
As for women in general, they are far superior to men in the argument category. Girls will say stuff that will haunt you forever. We fight low and dirty, and we know it. I don't think they are capable of being quite as strong as men, just because of size and structure differences... but certainly able to compete on a fairly level playing field in most everything.

| I think that females really like to hit bellow the belt if you know what I mean. Guys are more or at least a little bit more like physical I suppose. They are just ...if they are angry they hit or destroy things. Girls they throw their words and try to hurt that way.
